Spacious. The curtains let light into the cabin even when shut. Mom had a problem with sleeping because she wakes up easily. Bits and pieces were dirty or dusty. Had to clean up. One of the lights were busted when we came in. Took 2 requests to get it fixed.  Read entire member review.
North to Alaska by Ian Stewart
Main deck stateroom 2698 at the port/aft end with no cabins below or above us meant that it vibrated noticeably and and we also suffered the noise of the propellers when Well maintained by stewards.  Read entire member review.

Quite small. Window opened out to deck so not much of a view. Sofa in cabin not of any use. TV could only be viewed comfortably from bed. However cabin was kept very clean and was tidied up each evening when our bed was turned down.  Read entire member review.
Cabin #6102: non-standard layout for this cabin grade (a little weird), two windows instead of one, good access to exposed observation deck, not useful in very windy or rainy weather, somewhat noisy in good weather when many other passengers use this exit, forward view but no bow view, traffic in front of window when other passengers use outdoor deck. We were happy, but for ease of access to outdoor decks Lower Promenade Deck cabins might be at least as good.  Read entire member review.
Very spacious, wheelchair-friendly cabin. Easy access to forward deck under bridge. Yes, there is a rarely-used staircase outside the window, but the space is shaded by the bridge above. I called it 'my private deck chair'. Excellent place to sit and watch the Great Barrier Reef. In this cabin, you can hear the shows from the Frans Hals Lounge at night, but they end at 9.30 pm. Not an issue.  Read entire member review.
Our cabin was perfectly located. I chose better than I knew. Close to the elevator, but not too close. Laundry down the hall on our side. But the best part? At Skagway and Ketchikan all we had to do to exit the ship was go to the stairs and turn right or left. And at Juneau it was just 2 flights of stairs down. It was also very convenient for getting places on the ship. There was plenty of closet space and we enjoyed having the picture window over our bed. We could see what the weather was without getting up LOL The bed was comfortable. The couch was a bit tired. The bathroom had a tub and was bigger than any I remember on previous cruises. We are low maintenance so didn't have many requests, but our head steward, Eko was delightful and someone knew how to make hilarious towel animals:)  Read entire member review.

Cabin was larger than expected. Carpet was a bit 'suspect' in places and the window needed a good clean. There was a small bath which was a bonus!

Alaska Again by brule
Our cabin was on Main deck, near the centre staircase, elevators and laundry room. Surprisingly, it was a quiet cabin. Holland America's rooms are a good size with lots of closet space and drawers. The bathroom is small but quite functional with a bathtub (includes the shower) and a medicine cabinet. The only negative thing was the safe -- it was our first experience with a safe that needed a card swipe to open and close. We are used to inputting a code.  Read entire member review.

Our 2 cabins had lots of closet space and a fairly comfortable bed. They smelled like a port-a-potty every day and of our 2 cabins a toilet was clogged every day.

No shortage of storage space. Well maintained.

We knew our room would a partial oceanview. What we didn't know was the promenade was right outside our window with a constant parade of folks And then there was a huge metal support beam. Perhaps I should blame this snafu on my travel agent. The room itself was a joke. The TV was so small and so far away that it was difficult to see and I'd have to crank up the volume to hear though my roommate was trying to sleep (it was nice that the ship had a free DVD library). And you had to lay in bed to see the TV (which I hate to do); the useless love seat was facing the beds not the TV and couldn't be moved due to the room's configuration. To add to the clutter, useless drawn-back curtains were placed between the beds and the already cramped couch/TV areas. This useless addition actually made the room feel even smaller.  Read entire member review.
