Cabin Riviera 52 was an inside cabin with bunk beds. Closets were a lot bigger than we needed for just a 5 night cruise. The cabin we really close to the elevators so it was very easy to get around. No exterior noise.

The room was spacious and nice, however the dust that we'd come back to on top of all our stuff was just gross... i mean GROSS... It looked like saw dust.

Beware by sgt_ema

Cabin was nasty, nasty, nasty. The smell alone will linger on inside my mind for years to come. This is primarily due to the ships age and the probable death that occured in that room

Feels larger than they are. Bathroom roomy and great hot water. Beds were very comfortable. Window large. Plenty of closet space for even 3 women. Noise level from next room "embarrassing". Crew noisy when walking down hallway.  Read entire member review.

E63 looks on their deck plans as if it is far away from the noise to be semi quiet, and close to the elevators. Only the last is true. We were constantly inundated with kids running back and forth, the sound of the Atruim singer by the bar, and loud bangs starting at 6am from the Fun center above. Great location for elevators if noise is not an issue for you. Also, the toilet flushed when it wanted to. The A/C didn't work well (they claimed 73 degrees as they tested it was standard, even though their hallways were cooler than our room!), we were offered a fan! The shower would randomly get hotter as we showered, and to keep it on an even keel we had to turn on the sink to make the shower stay one temp. Weird! A lot of room for the money though, and if quieter and fixed nice location. Bring power strip, only one outlet in room!

Room was immaculate, service by I Made was excellent. View out window magnificent!

M-142 was a small room but fit our needs quite well. Having the window to look out in the morning was nice and helped to ease the motion that my GF felt at times. While it was older, it still had plenty of space and storage. The hot water and shower were crazy! More pressure and volume than at home and I swear you could cook an egg in the hot water out of the tap. Our cabin stewards Francisco and Michael were incredible and always had a smile. My daughter used the upper bunk and it was perfect for the 13 yr old.

M139 is a great cabin. Seemed larger than the cabins of our friends. Only steps away from midship elevator which is SWEEEET for those drunk nites. Next to crew stock closet, might hear doors banging shut, not often. Regular windows (not portholes), great view b/c ur midship. No rocking, very stable. No mechanical noise. No smells.  Read entire member review.
The cabin was VERY Clean, small closets, great location mid-ship near stairs!  Read entire member review.
Cheap Getaway by lulu1968

I read the cabin reviews regarding the lack of room when the beds were made as a king so I decided to request the beds remain as two twins. I am not a spring chicken and don't want to have an issue in the middle of the night. When we arrived in our cabin, our room steward Serin greeted us and welcomed us to our cabin. I told him that with the beds as a king, there was an annoying corner storage cabinet (which I knew in advance) did not allow me to walk around the foot of the bed and asked for him to make the beds as two singles. He insisted that I contact Guest Services about the issue but said no more. I headed to Guest Services and by the time I got back to my cabin, there was a man with a screw driver removing the annoying corner cabinet, relocated the life jackets to our closet and they hauled the cabinet away. My room steward just winked and said that a husband and wife should not have to sleep in separate beds because of an annoying cabinet. BTW, I tipped him well.

M42 is an interior cabin, near the bow. Being so far forward, the traffic and noise in the hallway were less bothersome than in other, more central locations. I thought this cabin was surprisingly roomy and well arranged. Closet and drawer space were more than adequate for such a short cruise. The walk-in shower was great - certainly more spacious than any other shower I have ever seen on any other ship. The cabin seemed well maintained and clean. The only negatives were that (1) there was no hair dryer in this cabin (one was provided when we asked for it), and (2) the in-room safe seemed in need of an overhaul - we had to call once to have Security force open the safe that would not let us retrieve our valuables. Even so, I would recommend this cabin to anyone who, like me, likes interior rooms, low in the ship, and doesn't mind the ship's motion in the bow or the sound of the bow thrusters during sailing and landing operations.  Read entire member review.

Rooms are clean, somewhat spacious but have to step over the corner of bed to get to the window to enjoy the view, bathroom relatively spacious, hot water in shower works fast and can be scalding hot so be careful, The beds are ok, not very comfortable, but not terrible either. it you go with a queen size bed, they put together 2 twin beds, we got the room with a window, I don’t think it’s worth the extra money (I think it’s at least a couple hundred cheaper per person for no window cabin, we paid $1000 per person for the rooms with window), it’s even more to have a balcony and I don’t think that would have been worth it either.

Small cabin, no couch/sofa, no heat, decent shower/bathroom, suitcases fit under bed, plenty of room for clothes for a short cruise.  Read entire member review.
A lot of storage space and a big shower! We are booking our next 2 cruises in an inside.  Read entire member review.
Small - needs renovating....Could have done without the Sewage backup in the bathroom sink....YUCK!!!!  Read entire member review.
Value for Money - Just not for us by UKairlinetraveller
Cabin was dates and showed signs of wear and tear  Read entire member review.

There were three of us sharing the cabin. We were there to shower, change, and sleep. The room was more than adequate.

Cabin was quiet and very comfortable, if dated in décor (expected). Plenty of towels, shower was roomy, water very hot and strong! Lots of hooks; I always pack suction cup hooks and didn’t even need them. Also enough hangers and great storage. Steward Teofilo was extremely nice, unobtrusive and efficient, and he filled my little cooler twice daily as asked, no complaints here. Noticed a slight “sewer” smell in the bathroom late on the first night, but it was gone by the next morn. And it took a few days, but I eventually realized there was a thermostat over the bed, and I did need to adjust the temp a few times. I’ve always thought thermostats in cruise cabins were for decoration only; this is the first time I had one that actually worked.

A complete BOMB! by norske1962

Small, dated and uncomfortable beds.

 Read entire member review.

The room is small and a little cramped but generally worked pretty well for three guys in their late teens early 20s. The beds weren't notably uncomfortable and the bathroom was small but functional. The pleasant surprise in the room was the shower water pressure, it was tremendous. However, there was an issue that made the room UNINHABITABLE at times at roughly 2pm and 12am our room would suddenly REEK of what we believed was the smell of used cooking oil. Given time and some powerful air freshners you could eventually sleep after letting the room air out. This problem really has the potential to ruin a vacation if you do not have some air freshners on hand. It should also be noted the cleaning staff was great and always very friendly.

Our cabin was located very low in the ship and far away from any food or activities. We were constantly waiting on elevators as we were 6 decks away from most of the entertainment.

 Read entire member review.

Our room came with the basics. It didn't have a fridge or a hair dryer. We had two adults and two kids in our room. We had two twin beds that were pushed together. They were comfy. The other two beds that hung from the wall were a little harder because they didn't have the box-spring. The a/c was really nice, but in order to adjust the temp in the room, you had to turn a dial in the ceiling. With the beds down, it was cramped because of a piece of furniture that blocked access to the bathroom. We did have a nice window view and I would suggest spending the extra bucks to look out the window.

Had a great time by jwarren02

Cabin was exceptional for this category. Roomy enough. Comfy beds. The TV......well that could use the upgrades. The corner has a light with the TV up on the wall and the base below has life jackets. The TV is older and the light in the corner looked useless to us. Perhaps they have a use.....not sure what it was. Bath was plenty big. Good storage areas is you stow your luggage under your bed. We even had a mobility scooter in our room and had 3 people.

We booked a cabin with a porthole in the forward section of the ship. Overall I was extremely happy with the cabin. It was small, but not small enough to be an inconvenience. The cabin featured everything that we needed and with the amount of time we actually spent in the room made it perfect! I was told several times that there would be a lot of noise in this cabin due to the anchor but I didn't think it was that bad. Sure there was a bit of noise when the got into the ports but we were already awake planning early days so it didn't bother us. The only day that it woke me was the morning we pulled into the Port of Tampa, but I was able to get back to sleep no problem.

Cabin: Not too shabby. It was an ocean view and I did enjoy looking at the waves to pass some time due to the poor entertainment on the ship. A couple things to keep in mind, there’s only two outlets in the room and one is controlled by the bathroom switch. Bring a power strip if you plan on using electronics such as phones and laptops. Plenty of room for two people, at least the room we were in. The bathrooms were very spacious. You can take a shower with your sig other. The toilet is a little cramped though.

Good Family Value by cmrflcruiser

Cabin better than expected. Adequate size for a ship, great stewards and no extra charge for room service. This was a great location, feeling "mid-ship" even though "aft", and was a calmer area when seas were rough and being felt elsewhere in the ship. The room was cool at all times. No irritating noises or smells. Close enough to stairs for convenience, but no excessive traffic.
Water pressure in shower was excellent, and the hot water was scalding (caution!).
Bring a multi-cord adapter as there is only one electric plug in the room.

Very well organized cabin with plenty of closets big bathroom and a nice comfy bed.  Read entire member review.
Noisy, too close to anchor. No hairdryer, great size shower, low water pressure. Nice view of Catalina and Ensenada when docked. 1 window.  Read entire member review.
Rather Disappointing by MediGatoRx

Cabin U89. Suite. Roomy but dark. Clean but seemed to be able to hear everything in the hallway and the next door cabin. Nice balcony.

Exceptional value! by Norm Prestage
Veranda Deck #32 was a pleasant, spacious (as cruise ships go) standard inside cabin with Carnival's signature designed, large bath and spacious shower. Bedding excellent, storage more than ample, lighting and temperature control much more than adequate. The little basket of 'freebies' in the bath was appreciated and useful, containing sample sizes of toiletries. Veranda Deck is quiet and easy to navigate. Even though this was a full capacity sailing, we never heard running or loud noises outside the cabin. We were never more than a few steps from the open deck forward that was never, ever crowded. It was always a great place to observe the departure and arrival of the vessel.  Read entire member review.

Room was very roomy and bigger than we thought it would be. No problems

Our cabin M174 was just fine for 3 adults. The bottom beds were not directly across from each other, one was against one wall and the other was against the wall where a window would have been if it were not an inside cabin. There was a curtain on the wall as if there were a window there. There was plenty of closet space for 3 people. One closet had a door it was next to another closet that had only shelves and a door. Right by the cabin door was another closet with no door. Across from the closets was the bathroom, you had to have the closet door closed or you could not get into the bathroom. The bathroom was plenty big enough. There was a full size mirror and behind it were shelves for your toiletries plenty of space for 3 ladies things. The shower had soap and shampoo dispensers. They had a little basket by the sink that had a small tube of toothpaste, a razor and pepcid.  Read entire member review.
Stateroom M196: right by elevator but was not noisey. At night around 10-11pm, a pungent smell would overcome cabin. We determined it was residual of the restaurant and cleaning. Smell lasted 10 minutes. Room size was average for a cruise. Carnival could invest in hangars with clips for hanging skirts etc. Decor was a bit outdated, but fine. This stateroom has an oceanview with a large window not a porthole.  Read entire member review.
