We chose our cabin for the location, which was ideal for our needs. It was just a few steps from the doors to provide us with the biggest balcony at sea "the promenade deck". We were mid-ship - a short distance to atrium and elevators without being so close that there was any noise from people using either the elevators or playing Dutch shuffleboard in the atrium. There was no overhead noise either. Our cabin was a good size for our purpose. There was comfortable seating - a loveseat and another movable chair which was excellent for using when doing hair or makeup or using my computer. There was tons of storage room in that cabin - we could have brought a lot more with us if we had realized how generous the storage area was. We have had a wide variety of cabin types in the past - inside, outside, veranda and mini-suites but we chose this as it provided all the space we want or need and I especially love the storage space at the head of the bed. The bed was the most comfortable we have ever had on any ship - and that is saying a lot as we've been in ship beds for about 330 nights in the last six or seven years!! The shower was a nice size and I was delighted to see the shampoo, conditioner and body wash now in built-in containers. That is so much nicer than fiddling with little bottles as one had to do in the past. My only possible complaint was that I found the cabin warmer than was comfortable for me - between 21 and 23C (70-73F). I am accustomed to about 68F at night or otherwise it is hard on my breathing. A large fan was provided for the cabin and that helped my comfort level a lot. To sum it up we were so happy with our cabin that will book it again when on the Ryndam or her sister ships.
