Storage was great. Bed next to balcony, made room feel bigger. Bathroom was fine, but shower tiny, cloth shower curtain always soaked and water always on the floor. We had to have the shower head replaced plus we had to wait two chilly days to get the heat working. Read entire member review >>
The cabin layout was adequate. the wardrobs dors and the bath room doors conflicted whith each other. Upon arrival the cabin was not cleaned properly. there was food and soil in many places. The stateroom attendant assigned to our room was not the person who prepared the room. The attendandant rectified the cleanlyness issues, however the person responsible for stateroom readiness had not done their job. It is not up tho the paying customers to discover defincies and demand corrective action. Read entire member review >>
We wish we would have checked the balcony size before we selected the cabin. Also, they were painting ship and paint scrapings needed to be removed from balcony. Only took one call and it was resolved. Read entire member review >>
This is a handicap accessible stateroom. It does have a larger balcony compared to the same rooms next to it. We have been in the same staterooms on sister ships to Brilliance. Read entire member review >>
Cabin attendant was great. Bed was very hard. Being next to The Centrum, music was playing past midnight, every night. With ports of call at 7 am, this meant 6 hours or less of sleep per night. While booking through the cruise line, never told that you could hear music from The Centrum in the room. Some nights it sounded like the band was right outside the door. If you are a light sleeper, do not stay in this room. Read entire member review >>
Loud location. We were right near the elevators, outside the internet cafe however you heard everything and everyone walking by your room. Also if you wanted a early night this is not the room as you hear everything in the centrum. Read entire member review >>
Not sure if my Deluxe Ocean View was E1, E2, or E3. I do know that my unobstructed view included an obstruction from the covers over the life boats. I do know that I had the Schooner Bar below, and thank goodness brought my ear plugs! The bed was not suitable for anyone over the age of 21 or anyone sober. A hard mattress on a plastic slatted base - no give, no cushioning... I am exhausted after 5 nights of only 6 (toss and turn) hour nights. I normally sleep a good 8... Read entire member review >>
I really liked the cabin. There is storage tucked everywhere and a clever arrangement of mirrors allows you to get a back view like in a 3-way mirror in a dressing room. Another set of shelves in the bath would have been great but the shelf underneath the sink was useful for extras. The shower is problematic as other CC posters have noted; unless you get both sides and the bottom of the curtain perfectly tucked in you'll have a flood on your hands. The clothes line in the shower was missing; I normally bring my own but didn't based on the cabin description so drying laundry was a bit problematic but we got by. The balcony isn't huge but is quite comfortable. I like having the full height table instead of the side table height I've seen on other ships. We had a semi obstructed view over the life boat covers so we couldn't see directly down to the water (except for a small break in the cover to the right of the balcony) but the views straight out were fine. The cabin is above Chops, and while there was no discernible noise when the restaurant was open, occasionally I could hear the beat of dance music during the late evening or afternoon; I'm assuming the staff was playing music while they were working. It wasn't that bad, but if you are looking for a dead quiet cabin at all times give this one a pass. Read entire member review >>
The location was great, right by the elevators. Our steward, Doctor Livingston, was nice and the room was always tidied up for us. There was an issue a few doors down the hallway, where it smelled of a septic problem and the carpets were constantly cleaned and fans were blowing....the problem/smell needs some attention, although they tried to keep it tolerable. This was our first balcony room. Though the cover for the life boats obstructed our view somewhat, we loved having a balcony. This room was our sanctuary. Not being able to find space around the solarium or main pool, we often went back to our balcony. Unfortunately we had neighbors who woke up very early and went to the balcony to loudly clear their throat and nasal passages. It sounded like we were in a hospital. I had to plug my ears and close our balcony door to avoid the hacking. Read entire member review >>
When it was time to get acquainted with our stateroom we were pleased. Located on the port side with a balcony it suffered a minor obstruction caused by the roof covering the promenade deck and lifeboats below - hardly a problem. Smallish but efficiently set up. Plenty of drawers, adequate closet space, good size bathroom with shower and lots of mirrors - not necessarily a good thing. Interesting how flat screen TVs have opened up a tad more arm swinging room. Timely arrival of luggage reduced the stress level - all arrived in good order. We were content. This room was above Vintages and slightly above the edge of the Casino. You could hear just a little noise from the Casino later at night. Nothing to bothersome though. The room itself is a good location if you are on Deck 7, close enough to the mid-ship stairwells, but not too close. Note this room is on the opposite side of the side-mounted mid-ship elevators on this ship. Read entire member review >>
We had cabin 9500. We liked the location in front and on the starboard side of the ship. The bridge was a little close and interfered with some photos. Most of all the cigarette smoke from the bridge was annoying as it came right down into our room during stays in ports! Read entire member review >>
Cabin 8006 has a very reduced balcony and can only accomodate one chair at a time.
We moved to 8030 that had a proper balcony but was far forward ( not what we booked)
The 7th deck has bigger balconies. Read entire member review >>
