Each week, we choose five cruise reviews written by our members, one of which is showcased as the Member Review of the Week. In the spotlight this week is Cruise Critic member hikerbiker31‘s recent cruise to the Alaska aboard Coral Princess.
Overall Impression: Cruiser hikerbiker31 decided to go all out on their first cruise, booking a Princess land and sea tour to the 49th State. They also splurged on a balcony cabin, so they could enjoy the scenery passing by.
Onboard Highlight: Although he didn’t participate in many onboard activities, hikerbiker31 enjoyed the quality of the food in both dining areas, as well as the service and the size of his cabin.
Port Highlight: Hikerbiker31 appreciated that the land tour allowed them to leave the downtown areas of Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan to venture into the wilderness.
Don’t Miss: The land portion of this type of tour. Hikerbiker31 felt it was so well organized, you could really immerse yourself at ease.
Watch Out For: The emphasis on shipping, which hikerbiker31 felt defeated the purpose of being in Alaska.
More: Read hikerbiker31’s full review for more details about the tour and highlights onboard the ship.
For their efforts, hikerbiker31 and four other Reviewers of the Week — polkadots, Maxine1, MBAYogi, and PeachAero — receive Cruise Critic logo items.
