‘s recent cruise to the Western Caribbean aboard Carnival Paradise
Overall Impression: WorldTravlerx2, her husband and a group of friends were all in need of a little recharge, so they left the kids at home and set sail on Carnival Paradise for a five-night cruise to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Having previously sailed on Carnival Legend, the couple was pleasantly surprised to find their interior cabin on the “smaller” ship offered significantly more space than the balcony cabin.
Onboard Highlight: The food, although, it was hard for WorldTravlerx2 to narrow down one favorite. Is a five-way tie acceptable? She especially loved Carnival’s famous Warm Chocolate Melting Cake, lobster bisque, strawberry bisque, lobster and jumbo shrimp.
Port Highlight: Hammocks in the water in Passion Island, Cozumel — a new addition since the last time WorldTravlerx2 had visited.
Don’t Miss: “Faster to the Fun,” Carnival’s pre-cruise package. WorldTravlerx2 found it to be worth every penny and kick-started their cruise with a boatload (pun intended) of positivity and excitement.
Watch Out For: The layout of the ship can get a little tricky near the dining rooms, where the galley is positioned in the middle. Tip: It’s easier to cut right through dining service in order to get to the other side, rather than trying to come up with a way to navigate around the rooms.
