Live from Carnival Freedom: Dr. Seuss is on the Loose

June 30, 2014 | By | No Comments

Children on stage with Cat in the Hat hats, taking part in Carnival Cruise Line's Seuss at Sea StoryTime
Green eggs and ham is just the beginning,
Of a concept on Carnival that seems to be winning,
It’s a kids’ program that Carnival has just let loose,
Experiences at sea with Dr. Seuss.
Seuss-a-Palooza is the big parade
Where banners are held and noises are made.
Noisemakers held by boys and by girlies
But if the kids want a prop, be sure to get there early.
The parade is led by your cruise director
He serves as a host, he serves as a lector
Thing 1, Thing 2, Sam and Cat in the Hat
Help lead you to where Story Time is at.
The Cat in the Hat, and Thing 1 in the Seuss-a-palooza parade on Carnival Freedom
Want a character photo? Well, that comes later
For now everyone will meet in theater
The theater stage is where the tent is at
Where children gather to hear “The Cat in the Hat”
A good time for all ages is meant to be had
With audience participation from mom and from dad
Playing the cat or playing the fish
The sillier the better, is Story Time’s wish.
Adults with heads in Thing 1 and Thing 2 cutouts
Deck 12 near Camp Ocean is home to Seuss’ Bookville
More time with the family comes with no bill
Too young? Too old? No ifs, buts or maybes
It’s open to adults, toddlers and babies
You can read near a ball
You can read if you’re tall
You can read if you’re small
You can read to your doll.
Green Eggs and Ham served at breakfast during Carnival Cruise Line's Seuss at Sea program
For an adventurous morning, green eggs you may dabble
There’s moose juice and goose juice! (Well, orange and apple)
A Seuss character breakfast with kid menu deluxe
All the fun and French toast, costs each one just 5 bucks
Seuss at Sea will roll out to all other ships
Across the fleet by 2015, from Carnival’s lips
But not every ship will have a space like Bookville
That would mean dry dock and maybe a few mill.
So come read, eat, cheer and play
Seuss at Sea onboard will brighten your day
Bring the kids, bring the family –or don’t!– you don’t need ’em
Dr. Seuss is for everyone on Carnival Freedom
