A Cruise Worth Repeating

Each week, we choose five cruise reviews written by our members, one of which is showcased as the Member Review of the Week. In the spotlight this week is Cruise Critic member cricketts‘ recent cruise to the Western Caribbean aboard Royal Caribbean’s Navigator of the Seas.

Overall Impression: Navigator of the Seas felt like the perfect marriage of the Voyager and Freedom classes. And everything on the newly refurbished ship appeared fresh and new.

Onboard Highlight: Chops Grille always has been a tradition for cricketts, who fell in love with the new pretzel bread and cheesy potato tots on their recent visit.
Port Highlight: Cave tubing in Belize, which was complemented by some delicious “home cookin'” for lunch.
Don’t Miss: The R Bar — in particularly the Chocolate Cheesecake Martini.
Watch Out For: The beach in Roatan, Honduras. With more tour operators utilizing the beach, it tends to get very overcrowded. Tip: Book a private tour with a reputable operator – Roatan has had crime issues lately –  or try snorkeling.
More: Read cricketts’ full review for more dining recommendations and tips for fun in Cozumel.
For their efforts, cricketts and four other Reviewers of the Week — rampantdesign, dafne, StartrainDD, and Keke27 — receive Cruise Critic logo items.

We must have not been on the same Navigator of the Seas or it must have been in need of a complete gutting b/c it was not very clean. The food was okay, not great. Staff were EXTREMELY uninterested in helping or being courteous. Very unfriendly except for waitstaff in main dining room and cabin steward. We are still trying to get a photo CD that is correct with our photos on it. We went June 1st to the 8th. Will go back to other cruise lines that want my money!
