May Caption Contest Results

June 5, 2014 | By | No Comments

We know, we know, it’s already June….and we still haven’t announced the winner of our May caption contest, which receiving a whopping 136 entries. Better late than never….so without further ado, here are some of the top contenders.
As you’d expect, many entries referenced “palm of your hand” or the ditty “He’s got the world in our hands” in some way, which were all fun to read. We were looking for something a little less obvious, although we did enjoy Robert Racine’s entry, “A ship in the hand is worth two in dry dock.” Quite.
Honorable mention goes to Greg and Steve Ducar for postulating that this was a replacement for a “ship on a stick” prize. But in the end, our mythology-loving editors decided the Cruise Critic prize pack would go to Barbara K for this entry: “Poseidon, put that down!”
Check back soon for June’s contest! And thanks again to Cruise Critic member medic123 for providing this shot.
