Whether you’re planning a family trip for the summer, or looking for savings to book a cruise vacation to anywhere, these deals might tempt you pack up the kids, book two cruises in place of one, hop a yacht, or even cross an ocean.
Kids Sail Free on Carnival This Summer
(Expires May 4)

Planning a summer vacation for the whole family is easier when some of them are cruising free. Book a Carnival cruise by May 4 and sail from now through August without paying for the kiddos. If you’re feeling musical, cruises include a number of Carnival Live! sailings with concerts from the likes of Gavin DeGraw, Chicago or Jennifer Hudson. Prices start from $62 per person, per night.
Buy One Cruise, Get One Free on Norwegian
(Expires May 11)

Perhaps the most eye-catching cruise deal we’ve seen in a while is Norwegian’s buy one, get one sale. Basically, book a cruise to the Eastern Caribbean on one of the line’s newest ships — Getaway or Breakaway — by May 11, and earn a free three- or four-day cruise to the Bahamas on Norwegian Sky to be redeemed between September 2014 and February 2015. If vacation days allow, (and they renew for most people in January) this might be a summer vacation and quick, post-summer retreat all wrapped in one deal. Prices start from $499 per person.
Reduced Balcony Fares & Bonuses Onboard Cunard

Sail onboard the stately liners of Cunard this summer and beyond, with free upgrades, prepaid gratuities and reduced deposits. Balcony fares start from $1,199 per person, plus up to $150 in onboard credit when you book through May 31. Known for its transatlantic voyages, Cunard is offering relaxing ocean crossings, cruises to the Caribbean, Europe, and New England and Canada. Queen Mary 2 turns 10 this year with events kicking off May 9 and continuing throughout the season.

(Expires May 13)

Proclaimed as a summer clearance sale, Princess has extended its offer of up to 40 percent off of sailings in Alaska, the Caribbean or Europe, plus up to $200 in onboard credit to spend. Prices start from $549 per person for a weeklong cruise through Alaska. Cruise offerings available are varied and enticing, but just watch the additional fees: Princess’ fine print mentions they may run up to $510 on top of the cruise fare.
