Relaxation, culture and exotic cuisine sound like a recipe for a satisfying weeklong cruise. For member So Cal Cruise Mom and her daughter, Carnival Imagination served as the perfect four-night getaway.
West Coasters were ecstatic when Imagination, one of the Carnival‘s original “Fun Ships,” made its way to LA after Elation returned to its homeport of New Orleans. So Cal Cruise Mom found that the ship lived up to its expectations.
The dining aboard Imagination proved to be one of So Cal Cruise Mom’s biggest highlights. From Asian-inspired bites and tasty tapas to eclectic seafood dishes like spicy alligator fritters topped with tropical tomato salsa, the variety gave the two woman a chance to be adventurous with food they may never have tried otherwise.
A cozy cabin retreat, attentive crew and carefree fun added to the onboard experience. In port, cultural tours and exploring on their own in Ensenada and Marilyn Monroe’s former home of Catalina Island were both enlightening and inspiring. They returned home refreshed and fulfilled. Read So Cal Cruise Mom’s full review for more details about their adventures in port. For their efforts, So Cal Cruise Mom and four other Reviewers of the Week — AnnePontuso, SneezyRider, grtfldave, and VideoTech — receive Cruise Critic logo items.
