It’s a banner year for the Northern Lights – and some of our members are taking advantage of winter cruises to chase them.
With such Arctic adventures in mind, we are delighted to welcome Hurtigruten‘s UK managing director, Kathryn Beadle, onto the Cruise Critic Message Boards for a Q&A session with members.
Kathryn will be answering your questions live on the message boards next Thursday, March 6, from 1 p.m. – but you can post your questions now.

Kathryn joined Hurtigruten in 2008 as Head of Commercial. Kathryn has since been promoted to Managing Director for the UK, and has also been given responsibility for the US, Australia, Middle East and Asia. Kathryn introduced a substantial winter program in 2009 focusing on the Northern Lights.
Besides running winter and summer routes in its home country Norway, Hurtigruten offers trips to Northern Europe, Iberia, the Mediterranean, Iceland, Greenland, Transatlantic, South America and Antarctica. The line won last year’s Cruise Critic Editors’ Picks for as the Best Cruise Line for Adventure.
You can ask your questions here.

My husband want to see the lights on a cruise. What is best month. How do we dress?

I know that you use enrichment lecturers on some of your voyages, but I’ve heard that you require them to be bilingual (English and German). Do you ever hire enrichment lecturers fluent only in English? (submitted by an enrichment lecturer who has done North Atlantic northern lights cruises for Princess and Carnival)
