Dipping their toes in the Indian Ocean, hugging a Koala and catching a glimpse of the Southern Cross were just a few of member ScubaCruiser54 and his wife’s bucket list wishes. And the two couldn’t imagine a better way to fulfill them than on their 40th wedding anniversary, sailing through Australia and New Zealand with one of their favorite cruise lines.
Between a laborious flight in and embarking on a 17-night cruise aboard Radiance of the Seas, they were able to unwind for two nights.
The couple celebrated their once-in-a-lifetime experience with a grand suite and excursions booked in line with their bucket lists.
One by one, they checked each of their “musts” off.
Onboard, their balcony afforded its own bucket-list sightings of whales, dolphins, seals and penguins. Their menu, which served Kangaroo, did just the same. Although, the latter came with a small price: Teasing from new Ozzie friends, accusing them of eating “Skippy.”
