Steal of the Week: Eastern Caribbean from $70/Night + OBC

January 16, 2014 | By | No Comments

Everyone is looking for the deal of the century. So how do you choose the one that’s right for you? Check the Lido Deck each week to get the scoop on our favorite deals — then grab the phone and pack your bags.
THE DEAL: Online Vacation Center is offering a 10-night Eastern Caribbean cruise onboard Royal Caribbean’s Grandeur of the Seas sailing roundtrip from Baltimore on December 9, 2014. Prices start from $699 per person for an outside cabin and include onboard credit.

WHAT WE LOVE: It’s not set to sail until later this year, but this December Caribbean cruise is a great time to go. Just $70 per night gets you a view, and a little extra onboard credit (and a few sea days to spend it). Grandeur was refurbished and upgraded in 2012 to include Oasis-class features. Past the threat of hurricane season, and home in time for the holidays, who could resist some sun on this 10-night island escape?
WHAT GIVES US PAUSE: Be sure to book soon before fares adjust, and by the end of February to ensure you qualify for the onboard credit bonus. You must be in an outside or higher cabin to earn onboard credit, and must be on a ship departing March through December. Prepaid gratuities are offered, but only in a balcony and higher cabin. Double-check the fine print on this deal before booking.
