A Seasoned Cruiser Gets Daring

January 14, 2014 | By | No Comments

“Some of my best experiences have occurred when I pushed myself outside of my comfort zone,” member queenL said after a recent cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas. In need of a quick kid-free escape, she and her husband planned the four-nighter to Cozumel and were feeling adventurous.
It was her 22nd cruise. And having been to Cozumel a dozen times before, she was ready for something a little more daring.

Rio Secreto — a secret cave site in Riviera Maya — seemed like the perfect fit.
Tight spaces, pitch-blackness and a little voice saying, “Turn around,” made her feel like the odds were against her. But queenL conquered her fears and made it to the end: A view worth all the worries and an incomparable sense of pride.
As for the ship itself, the service and entertainment surpassed all. Read queenL’s full review for more details on shipboard life and lessons.
For their efforts, queenL and four other Reviewers of the Week — mployhar, travelady65, serenajoy and scottyhouston — receive Cruise Critic logo items.
