The stars aligned for member teecee60 when he stumbled upon an irresistible deal on a 15-night transatlantic sailing on Celebrity Reflection, just 10 days before embarkation.
He and his girlfriend had vowed not to plan another cruise for a few months, but the cost couldn’t be beat. As soon as the price dropped, teecee60 hit “book,” lucked out on airfare and even snagged some Elite deals earned on past Celebrity cruises.

A charming bed and breakfast in Italy provided the perfect overnight, with the exception of one lesson learned: When in Rome, don’t take a cab.
Once onboard, the couple instantly fell in love with Reflection‘s overall style and ambiance. The food and service — not to mention the best show he’d ever seen on any cruise ship — made the sacrifice to splurge that much sweeter.
Although they would have loved to visit more than three ports on their transatlantic (Tenerife, St. Kitts and St. Maarten), the downsides of the trip didn’t seem that bad. Besides, their next cruise is right around the corner.
