Poll Position: Design your own Cruise Ship Space

November 4, 2013 | By | 1 Comment

From bumper cars to theme bars, many new features set to launch on next year’s new builds — and even refurbs — have many cruisers  waiting like a kid on Christmas Eve.
But what if you had your say in the design?
With all the hype surrounding ships like Norwegian Getaway and Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas, we thought it’d be fun to see what our members/followers would choose to add if they had the chance.
What we asked: If you could design any area of a cruise ship, which would it be?
What they said: Just as we thought, most (59.16 percent) of our poll-takers agreed that coming up with his or her own cabins would be the most fun. Revamping the Lido Deck came in second place, with 23.25 percent and dining venues trickled in third, at 7.72 percent.
Now that you’ve seen the results, it’s time to spill the details. Share in the comments below what your ultimate cabin, Lido Deck or dining venue would look like — or chime in about a space we left out.

I would design a sports bar that focused on old classics. The venue would be very traditional style. I’d name it Legends and on some of the televisions I would run classic sports games, boxing matches, races, etc. I would still air the current games but I feel it would be nice to relive some of those old memories! When I was younger my father use to always talk about Roger Staubach from the Dallas Cowboys, I think going into Legends and being able to have a drink and watch a game with my old man would be one heck of a legendary memory. Just an idea!!!
