Steal of the Week: Cunard Offers Gratuities, OBC & Air Savings

October 24, 2013 | By | No Comments

Everyone is looking for the deal of the century. So how do you choose the one that’s right for you? Check the Lido Deck each week to get the scoop on our favorite deals — then grab the phone and pack your bags.
THE DEAL: Cunard Line is hosting a Europe Three for All promotion offering up to $500 in onboard credit, up to $500 in airfare discounts and prepaid gratuities when you book a 2014 Mediterranean cruise onboard Queen Elizabeth by November 30, 2013.

WHAT WE LOVE: You will have more room in your vacation budget with discounted air to ports, onboard credit to spend and no tips to add to your bill. A Cunard cruise offers a British sensibility and traditional touches such as formal nights and afternoon tea. The Mediterranean is home to fascinating ports and sightseeing opportunities; you can see it all with the two- to three-week sailings included in this deal.
WHAT GIVES US PAUSE: You can only access the biggest discounts if you have ample time to sail — the $500 ($250 per person) onboard credit and air savings offers are only applied to cruises a whopping 21 days or longer. However, you can earn $200 per cabin on a seven-night cruise. Prepaid gratuities only apply during June and July 2014 sailings onboard Queen Elizabeth, so you’ll have to decide if a hot summer sailing with crowded ports is worth the savings.
