Quantum of the Seas Celeb Advisors: Who’s Your Dream Pick?

The hype keeps building for Quantum of the Seas, the much-anticipated new build from Royal Caribbean launching in November 2014. The line has started revealing a lineup of Quantum Experience Advisors, celebrities who are lending their names (and presumably, talents) to shaping the ship.
In September, interior designer Genevieve Gorder – host of HGTV Star and Dear Genevieve– has signed on as decorator. Her Royal Caribbean video shows her confabbing with architects in Miami, asking about textiles and color schemes (Back in her Trading Spaces days, she had a reputation for working barefoot, so expect the cabin floors to feel sensational).
Yesterday, the line announced that former NFL player (and Travel Show host) Dhani Jones will advise the line on sports and fitness, looking primarily at the SeaPlex sports zone. His video showed Jones, in his typical up-for-anything fashion, strapping on roller skates and helping the line’s activities and entertainment team brainstorm new types of fitness classes.
So far, Royal has kept mum on who else is on the roster. But the program made us dream about what other celebs we’d like to see onboard. Perhaps a pop culture trivia quiz hosted by Bravo Andy (just think of the friends he could bring along as celebrity bartenders). Phil Keoghan, the Kiwi-accented host of the Amazing Race, could be tapped for entertainment; shipboard scavenger hunt, anyone? The service in the main dining room could only improve with the stern visage of Gordon Ramsey popping in for spot checks and we think former ‘NSYNC boybander Joey Fatone still has the moves to lead dance competitions on the Lido Deck.
Got any suggestions for our list? Leave them in the comments.

Oh please not Gordon Ramsey for the dining room. Do you really want that guy yelling and swearing at everyone? NO How about Chief Lynn Crawford, Michael Smith or Sousir Lee. They are awesome Canadian celebrities in their own right. For the food please go back to the simple beautifully prepared food. I rarely ever remember the food I eat on the cruise, but one night in particular I remember the desert. The captain’s table was directly behind our table and they got this beautiful chocolate triangle with 3 holes holding three cups of different kinds of mousse and stars all over it. Now that was simple but the way it was presented was a work of art. I asked if I could take a photo of it. Not only did I get my photo but the captain gave me his desert and we all shared it. That’s the sort of thing one remembers. At the buffet every food should have a label without fail so that people with food allergies are safe.

For entertainment how about Robin Williams…um on second thought maybe not for the kids entertainment. Or maybe Jeff Probst would be fun to think up activities.
