After four days spent among Ireland’s lush greenery and eclectic city streets, member LPO was ready to embark on a back-to-back cruise through the British Isles and Western Europe, aboard Azamara Quest. Perhaps it was luck of the Irish that prompted him and his wife to arrive for boarding at just the right time, when no lines stood in the way of the bubbly welcome toast that awaited them.
With the cruise underway, LPO realized it was the little things that stood out to him most.
Fully set tables at the buffet and meticulously shined boots (a big deal for any Texan) were highlights for LPO. But even more appealing were the personal touches by crew members, such as picking up fresh raspberries from a local farm and cooking up a delicious dinner using the fish caught by Captain Stig earlier in the day.
When it came time to part ways, happy tears were shed as LPO and his wife said their goodbyes to a crew who felt almost like family. Although a bit small and outdated for their taste, the ship earned its stars in every other aspect. His final words: “The service on this line is impeccable and Azamazing. Enjoy cruising, and safe travels to all.” Read LOP’s full review to get a feel for the cabin, food and itinerary.
