Steal of the Week: 13-Nt. Asia Balcony, Air, Hotel & OBC from $2,699

September 5, 2013 | By | No Comments

Everyone is looking for the deal of the century. So how do you choose the one that’s right for you? Check the Lido Deck each week to get the scoop on our favorite deals — then grab the phone and pack your bags.
THE DEAL: Celebrity Cruises is offering a 13-night Asia cruise onboard Celebrity Millennium, sailing from Tokyo to Vancouver on May 10, 2014. Prices start from $2,699 per person for a balcony cabin. The price includes roundtrip airfare, a three-night pre-cruise hotel stay in Tokyo, and up to $100 in onboard credit.

WHAT WE LOVE: Asia with flight inclusions makes this a cruise deal worth paying attention to. Fly to Tokyo (included) and stay three nights in Japan’s major metropolis (included) before boarding your two-week cruise with stops in Aomori and Sapporo, Japan (and even Russia), before docking in Vancouver. Taxes, transfers, a balcony cabin and even $100 in onboard credit top off what’s included for your $2,699. This is the Far East at a very near value.
WHAT GIVES US PAUSE: Make sure you are either a fan of the ship or the sea for this cruise, which includes nine total days spent on the ocean, with a stretch of six days straight at sea. Aside from your pre-cruise stint in Tokyo, the ports are also a tad obscure, though by no means uninteresting. Petropavlovsk, in Russia, is a very isolated city building its reputation for tourism.
