Steal of the Week: Two-Week Transatlantic from $54/Night

July 18, 2013 | By | No Comments

Everyone is looking for the deal of the century. So how do you choose the one that’s right for you? Check the Lido Deck each week to get the scoop on our favorite deals — then grab the phone and pack your bags.
THE DEAL: CruCon Cruise Outlet is offering a 13-night transatlantic cruise onboard Celebrity Eclipse, sailing from Fort Lauderdale to Southampton on April 19, 2014. Prices start from $699 per person for an inside cabin and up to $1,199 per person for an Aqua Balcony cabin. Up to $200 in onboard credit is available at booking. This is a last-minute deal, and expires tomorrow.

WHAT WE LOVE: If you can catch this deal while it lasts, you could be sailing across the Atlantic this April in your Aqua Balcony cabin from less than $95 per person, per night. These transatlantic rates provide a range that is budget-friendly, regardless of cabin class (starting at just $54 per person, per night), and the cost is further balanced with up to $200 in onboard credit. Ocean crossings are known for plenty of sea days, but the ports of call — Nassau, Porta Delgado and an overnight in King’s Wharf w– ill treat you to tropical weather before disembarking in the U.K. The Celebrity Eclipse is a well-liked ship, known for its innovative features such as the Lawn Club and glass-blowing show.
WHAT GIVES US PAUSE: If you’re too hesitant or indecisive, this deal may be just out of reach. Expiring this Friday, July 19, it is a super but short-lived promotion. Additionally, while transatlantics are a satisfying vacation length, they’re not roundtrip, so flights home from Southampton are an out-of-pocket expense. Compare flight prices with our sister site TripAdvisor’s meta-search tool.
