Reservations for Two, Please

Romantic Cruise
It’s your wedding anniversary, uncle Jim’s 50th birthday, your dear daughter’s graduation … and while you don’t need an excuse to cruise, sometimes there’s no better place to celebrate those special moments than onboard your favorite ship.
Romantic cruises in particular always have been a big hit, and we love hearing those stories. (Yes, we’re a bit sappy here at Cruise Critic.) But after seeing more interest in cruise ship weddings on our message boards recently, we wanted to see how many of you were intrigued by the idea of saying “I do” with fellow passengers and crew.
What we asked: Would you ever get married on a cruise ship?
What they said: More than half (59.09 percent) of our poll-takers endorsed or would consider a cruise ship wedding. However, 38.69 percent view it as too cheesy for their taste.
If tying the knot onboard isn’t your perfect fairy tale, there are plenty of other ways to get lovey-dovey at sea.
Plan a romantic getaway with your significant other (or even surprise them) by checking out our Romantic and Honeymoon Cruises section for tips and advice, reviews and a link to our forums.

We renewed our vows on HAL’s Prinsendam 10 years ago. Ceremony was lovely and the perks
very nice. The Captain’s cabin was the venue and there was music, flowers and champagne. We also received a photograph album with complimentary “Wedding” pictures.
