Blessed with beautiful weather and that “new ship scent,” member KevLK only faced one downside aboard Norwegian Breakaway: There weren’t enough hours in the day. Having cruised with Norwegian Cruise Line in the past, he was sure the ship’s maiden voyage would live up to the expectations he held.
A toast of wine off the balcony of their spacious cabin served as a prelude for the dining, spa and waterpark endeavors that were to come. Maneuvering around the ship was surprisingly easy given the size, and being only a flight of stairs away from the spa was a real treat.
But thermal pools and therapeutic stone chairs didn’t keep KevLK from unleashing his adventurous side. The Aqua Park easily became a favorite. Plunging down the free-fall slide in lieu of morning coffee worked up an appetite for the wide variety of dining offered on the ship.
At night, the sky took center stage for onboard entertainment, with a captivating fireworks show worth searching for the best seat in the house. KevLK’s secret: Deck 17 or bust.
