Poll Position: Extra, Extra, Read All About It

May 13, 2013 | By | 1 Comment

There’s been a lot of cruise news lately — some good, some not so good. With a bit of it getting national media attention via mainstream outlets, we sometimes wonder how much is too much. We were curious what our readers think, so we asked….
What we asked: When it comes to cruise news, I ___.
What they said: A whopping 76 percent of more than 2,000 people said they want to know everything. Another 13 percent said they just want news about their favorite line. A further 6 percent only want news about their favorite ship, and the remaining 5 percent just aren’t interested in news.
What it all means: People love news. Whether it’s a ship in trouble, bad weather or new past-passenger perks, saturation doesn’t seem to be a problem — they want the latest.

I am all for all the news as long as they are really doing there job and gathering and verifying their facts; NOT just gathering opinions. I am so sick and tired of the media broadcasting entire stories based on opinion and speculation/rumor rather than facts.
