Steal of the Week: Cruise Canada From $76 Per Night (Plus Free Third and Fourth Passengers)

February 7, 2013 | By | No Comments

Everyone is looking for the deal of the century. So how do you choose the one that’s right for you? Check the Lido Deck each week to get the scoop on our favorite deals — then grab the phone and pack your bags.
THE DEAL: Cruise Specialists is offering a seven-night Canada and New England cruise onboard Holland America’s Veendam, sailing from Boston to Quebec City on May 4, 2013. Prices start from $529 per person for an inside cabin and $599 for an outside.

WHAT WE LOVE: Sail the East Coast this spring, from as little as $76 per person, per night, and third and fourth passengers sharing a cabin with two paying travelers sail free. When you book an outside cabin, there is also a free motorcoach transfer between Montreal airport and Quebec City. Booking a balcony cabin or higher lets you take advantage of one free night in a Quebec City hotel. Onboard credit may be available at booking.
WHAT GIVES US PAUSE: This deal is selling out quickly! The original low price sold out already, and the $529 rate may not last long either. Plus, as cabins with three or four berths can be among the first to sell out, you may not be able to take advantage of the free-guest offer if you wait too long. Finally, weather on the East Coast can be hit or miss in May, so you’re not guaranteed warm weather and sunny skies on your vacation.
HOW TO BOOK IT: For all the nitty-gritty on this deal (including that pesky fine print), click here. To see how much flights will add to your vacation cost, compare flight prices with our sister site TripAdvisor’s meta-search tool.
