One itinerary change, three cabin upgrades and an unexpected travel companion later, veteran cruiser scottamiller could never have envisioned his cruise would be “one of those rare experiences in life where all the stars come into alignment” onboard Royal Caribbean’s Vision of the Seas. From a pre-cruise Thanksgiving dinner in Fort Lauderdale with 15 other Cruise Critic members (described as “a core group of madcap, fun loving, outgoing individuals that we spent a fair amount of time socializing with throughout the cruise”), to the short-notice removal of a long-standing ban on carrying on bottled wine for in-cabin consumption, the details of this sailing seemed harmonized, as did the details of this review. Read scottamiller’s full review to learn about the “embarkation day sneak” and to read in-depth ship descriptions including a design scheme of “pear-wood, teals and peach pastels.”
For his efforts, scottamiller, along with the four other Reviewers of the Week — 88notes, ibfern, tawcat and jvgoecke — receives a Cruise Critic logo item.
