Caption This: Norwegian Breakaway’s New York Skyline

January 16, 2013 | By | 40 Comments

Last week, Norwegian Cruise Line announced its NYC-inspired advertising campaign, “The Best of NYC Sails to Sea.” Its newest ship, Breakaway, will homeport in New York year-round starting in May. The campaign includes a commercial that shows an image of Norwegian Breakaway sailing with the city’s famous skyline atop the ship.
We want to hear from you. Provide a witty, clever, fun or wacky caption for the photo, in the comments below, by noon Friday, January 18. We’ll pick our favorite from the entries. The winner will receive a Cruise Critic T-shirt.
Don’t take a chance. Buy your own T-shirt from our Cruise Critic store.

Start spreading the news, I’m leaving today. I want to be a part of it New York, New York and I live in New York. Sailing September 1. So far I have invited 22 friends. You want to wear white after Labor Day? Bring it on board for the White Hot Party. Yep. I have sailed solo twice on the EPIC out of Barcelona so I know how to party on NCL. This will be my 5th cruise with NCL and I am looking forward to booking on the Getaway in 2014.

This ad is very misleasing. It is false advertising. Some of my friends actually believe that Breakaway features a NYC replica on its top deck.
