Steal of the Week: Cruise the Bahamas From $37 Per Night

November 1, 2012 | By | No Comments

Everyone is looking for the deal of the century. So how do you choose the one that’s right for you? Check the Lido Deck each week to get the scoop on our favorite deals — then grab the phone and pack your bags.
THE DEAL: Cruise.com is offering a four-night Bahamas cruise aboard Norwegian Sky, sailing roundtrip from Miami on December 10, 2012. Fares start at $149 per person for an inside cabin.

WHAT WE LOVE: We rarely see cruise fares much lower than $37 per person per night – and even outsides and balconies are affordable at $179 ($45 a night) and $329 ($82 a night), respectively. The itinerary features calls on Freeport, Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay, so you’ll make the most of your short getaway. Plus, you might even be eligible to receive onboard credit.
WHAT GIVES US PAUSE: It’s hard to find something wrong with a cruise priced as low as this one. If we have to think of a caveat, it’s that Norwegian Sky is one of Norwegian’s oldest and smallest ships, so you’ll find smaller-than-average cabins and not quite as many onboard attractions as the line’s mega-ships. Additionally, the ship departs on a Monday, so you give up an entire week at work for a four-night getaway.
