Cruiser Captures Carnival Destiny Rescue at Sea

October 26, 2012 | By | No Comments

As Cruise Critic reported last week, a Carnival Destiny passenger jumped overboard October 21 into waters off the Florida coast.
While rescue is rare when it comes to man-overboard incidents, Destiny’s crew coordinated an effort that led to the 29-year-old woman being brought back onboard alive, where she received treatment before being left in Key West for further care.
Passengers onboard Destiny watched the search-and-rescue operation. Check out the surprisingly moving video of the rescue, captured by a passenger.
