Grandma Forsakes Gambling for Grandkids

Veteran cruiser CaroleR‘s four-day Bahamas cruise aboard Disney Dream was a scouting expedition to see if Disney cruises were a good bet for her grandchildren. She was just sorry to have to relinquish her own betting to do so. She missed gambling in a casino at sea, but wouldn’t try bingo for fear it would be too expensive. Other than that and not enough chairs for viewing the fireworks display, she and her two friends were impressed with the Disney experience. Her conclusion: She’d return with her husband, children and grandkids because, “You do get your money’s worth.” But she’d skip the onboard Disney shops because you could “spend a fortune.” Check out her review. For her efforts, CaroleR — along with the four other R.O.W., love the24car, usermom, stormilynne and kayrob — receives a Cruise Critic reusable grocery tote.

It’s those onboard shops that help make up for the missing gambling revenue.
Don’t get between a Disney fan and his/her Disney swag.
