I absolutely love getting lost in a book in one of the lounges during the day at sea. There is nothing like a good glass of wine, a good book and that expansive peaceful view in front of me.

I especially love going to lounges that are usually only open at night – they are quiet and filled with people just like me.

      Happy Valentine’s day!

I love being able to spend time with my honey doing things we wouldn’t normally do–zip lining, climbing waterfalls, whitewater rafting, kayaking, etc. I love just being together on a boat traveling to different destinations for new adventures.

I love that my husband and I get to spend time alone together. We work opposite shifts so we don’t have to pay for childcare. When we are cruising our daughters go to camp for part of each day, and we get precious couple time. We like laying on lounge chairs, me with a good book and him with his music. We hold hands and just look at the ocean all around us. Heaven.

What I love is one week of no cell phones, email or any other of our day to day distractions. We have decided to make cruising our vacation of choice. It is truly the only vacation we take where we feel like we have been on a vacation.

      February 14th, 2012 @ 12:15 pm

I love cruising because it has opened a door to the world that wouldn’t be open otherwise. I’m in my early twenties and not made of money. I can’t afford plane, lodging and other costs normally associated with overseas travel. I have only been on 2 cruises but have seen more at different ports than I ever have before. I may be on the lowest deck in a inside cabin but I love everything about the cruise experience. Truly priceless memories.

      February 14th, 2012 @ 12:20 pm

The peacefulness sitting on the deck watching the moonlight dance on the water. Getting to share the moment with the love of your life. Your friend a mate. The sound of chatter coming from a lounge or balcony. Simply serenity

I love being able to take off my watch for a week and not have to worry about the time. Relaxation and quiet while watching the world float by. Trying new foods.

My one thing that I love the most about cruising… Waking up in a new part of the world and getting to see the wonder that is our planet!

What’s not to love about a cruise? I love everything! From doing absolutely everything to nothing at all. Cruises have something for everyone. I especially love relaxing by the pool listening to my ipod :)

      February 14th, 2012 @ 12:25 pm

I love to do nothing or everything, be awake or take a nap, sun or no sun, read or party, snuggle with my honey or do something by myself, lay by the pool or work out, stay on the ship or visit a port! Cruising you have the choice and that’s what I love about it!

    26. Carla Powell
      February 14th, 2012 @ 12:27 pm

I love the water. The beautiful sunsets. No computers or phones for a week is really a nice perk. But most of all I love getting to spend some time with my hubby. And watching his eyes sparkle being back and seeing the sea. Him being happy makes me happy.

What I love about cruising? Having my hotel travel with me while visiting exotic locations, all my meals included and food almost 24 hours a day, lazily relaxing poolside in the sun, dancing in the disco until 2am (sometimes later), having no email, going for a great massage…. the list just keeps on going!

I love spending time on the balcony with my husband….drinking coffee together in the morning as we arrive in port, relaxing and just watching the ocean go by and looking out for flying fish on sea days, drinking a glass of wine together in the evening before dinner as we sail out of port and onto our next destination! <3

My entire family loves the personal attention we receive from our dining servers, we also love how they recognize us by name when at the private island enjoying the beach days. We enjoy getting to know about them (where they live, their spouse/kids) and what jobs they’ve done before this one.

However, we don’t love having to disembark, :(

I love the Sunshine, the fresh air from the Sea. The privacy of a balcony in my room, walking out onto the balcony enjoying a cocktail watching the wind and water go by. I love waking up in different exotic ports of call. What is there not to Love Love Love about Cruising???

    35. Janice Katz
      February 14th, 2012 @ 12:38 pm

I love EVERYTHING about cruising! The motion of the ship, a different place to explore everyday, sitting, relaxing and doing nothing on sea days or taking a class on a sea day, the food, meeting and making new friends with fellow cruisers and the staff on the ship. You can do as little or as much as you want on a cruise. I guess my favorite part of all is sitting on a balcony while at sea with my husband and watching the sun set. How much better can it get than that. Now I just have to get one on the books, lol

      February 14th, 2012 @ 12:40 pm

Love the fact you can get away from it all.love cruising so much that we booked our wedding on board p&o Ventura before it had been built. Then drove 100 odd
miles through thick snow blizzards to stand in the freezing cold at Southampton watching her sail in for the first time!

I love being on a cruise in a balcony cabin with the door open, resting on the bed with my husband with the sea breeze coming through the door watching and listening the ocean waves. There are many other favorite things I love about cruising but this ranks towards the top!

As I think on what I love about cruising, images from my first cruise (2003) are conjured up. The vastness, & cleanliness of the open sea, the sense of humility & appreciation that comes with that visual. I think of the awe, the wonderment, the excitement, & the anxiousness you feel when boarding a cruise. Like a kid in a candy store, you don’t know how to choose what you want to experience first. The smile & nod of a friendly staff member, that 1st fruity mixed drink, towel animals, experiencing new atmospheres, cultures, rituals & accents. Sunsets. Hot tubs under the expansive view of the crystal studded night sky. Kids (& adults) making friends & memories. Endless trips to the buffet lines & waitors dancing on tables in the dining room. The epitomy of “R & R”.

My husband and I just love to cruise. We found that it is the most relaxing vacation ever. From the time you get on the ship you are catered to. No cooking, no cleaning, no making beds. It is so nice to go to the restaurant and be served for 7 days. The worst part of a cruise is the last day when you have to leave the ship. There is nothing like taking a cruise. The entertainment at night is also fantastic. 7 days with just the two of us doing whatever we want. LOVE IT.

      February 14th, 2012 @ 1:20 pm

My absolute favorite was when we got a front facing balcony. The sea was as calm as could be. When you walked out on to the balcony and looked at the beautiful view, the most AMAZING thing is the sound, there is none, not the sound of the wind, nor the sound of the wake coming off the boat. It is absolutly the most Tranquil experience I have ever had! Absolutly breathtaking!!

      February 14th, 2012 @ 1:30 pm

I love cruising with my husband. It’s the one chance we have to be “just the two of us”. My parents have lived with us full-time for the past 8 years due to health issues, so cruising gives my husband and I a chance to get away together. Love spending time with my handsome guy on the seas.

      February 14th, 2012 @ 1:38 pm

We’re coming up on our 13th cruise with Princess and the thing I love most about cruising is being pampered. I also enjoy the rocking motion of the ship at night because it helps me to sleep.

    52. Michael Golden
      February 14th, 2012 @ 1:46 pm

We love to cruise. To get pampered on the ship by the staff. Enjoy great food, drinks and shows. To relax by the pool when at see and see dolphins and other wonderful sea creatures. To visit and get at least a bit of knowledge about the different countries while learning about their culture and perhaps planning a trip back to see more. Everything is planned for you and you just choose to do what it is you want. No phones, just peace and relaxation. The crew looks after the rest. The best way to travel. Thanks.

    53. Karen Casebier
      February 14th, 2012 @ 1:49 pm

The thing I love most about cruising is that it can be any kind of vacation that you want. If you want to just go, go, go all the time then there are activities all day, every day. If you want to lay in the sun and relax a little and have a nice supper and then go dancing, then you can have it that way too. If you just want to lay in the sun and read or sit on your balcony and just enjoy the sunshine and then go to a nice dinner, then you can do that too. A cruise vacation can be busy, busy, busy or just totally relaxing. Your choice.

Sitting in a lounge chair, on back of the ship under the stars, after a lovely dinner, watching Andrea Bocelli in concert on the jumbo theater screen with his magnificent voice floating across the ocean..That was and always will be a special memory for me and my sweetheart.

When people ask me about what I have loved most about cruising I have this memory of our trip through the Panama Canal…

    56. Michelle Gades
      February 14th, 2012 @ 2:00 pm

One if my favorite alone times with my husband is to be standing on the upper deck when it is dark and quiet. With the only lights are from the stars and the white strings if lights. We stand there holding each other in perfect silence looking into the blackness that seems to go on forever. All we can hear is the sound of each other breathing and our hearts beating in sync. It’s like we are the only two people left and our love is enough to sail us through the ocean all night.

    57. Carolyn Perkins
      February 14th, 2012 @ 2:05 pm

I love that you can do as much or as little as you like when cruising. If you feel like being lazy you can but if you feel like being active, there’s plenty to choose from. I also like the quality time my husband and I spend together when cruising. Also, I love meeting other cruisers. We’ve met so many people on cruises that we stay in touch with and will be friends for life.

The soothing ocean currents brings us back,
We wish we could spend more time at sea.
Sadly, we return to shore, alack!
Must plan the next cruise for husband and me.

      February 14th, 2012 @ 2:31 pm

Once we are on board it’s a whole different world for us. Cares are left on shore and we embrace the days ahead. We love days at sea – so relaxing – and also enjoy our shore time. We generally find things to do ourselves but have been known to take a tour. In 7 cruises we have yet to find a crew member who is unpleasant. We’re always reaady to see what visitor is on our bed when we return to our cabin in the evening. That’s half the fun, trying to guess what it will be.

I love the luxury, food and service. I love the fact that I can see lots of places without having to pack and repack every day. I love to be pampered and have company and entertainment at hand. I love escaping the rat race and relaxing to the ultimate degree. I just love cruising.

My passion is cruising with my husband. There is nothing better than reconnecting with your spouse. The anticipation builds the moment we book! Cruising allows my mind to clear and be creative. I’ve spent many early mornings writing and journaling…I’d like to share one about my love of the sea…..

      A Solitude…a peace..a reflection of life…
The vastness of the Sea, the horizon so distant, you can barely see….a depth so deep filled with life so free…
It makes one stop and ponder how beautiful His creation can be….

The quiet time with my man on our balcony as we sit and stare off into the sea. We try to imagine how it must have been to be navigating the seas as one of the early explorers in the 1400′s.

My husband and I love all of the usual perks of cruising – great food, visiting multiple exotic places in the same trip and being as active or as lazy as we want to be. However, what we absolutely love the most are all of the incredible people we’ve met along the way. Upon embarkation, it’s always just the two of us, but after dinner the first night or a few hours by the pool we always seem to meet one or two (or three!) other couples who we spend time with throughout the rest of the cruise. We’ve met couples from California, New York City and even France, and our friendships with them have endured long after we got off the ship. These are some of the memories I treasure most.

      Cruising is great!
      Staying up late
      Sunrise, Sunset
All the nice people I’ve met
Spending time with my loved one
Just looking for all the fun
      The food is always wonderful
      Enjoying the sea’s lull
      So relaxing
      Nothing is taxing
      Play all day
      Then dance the night away
Countdown to the next one is five days
I am looking forward to it in so many ways
      Yay!

What’s great about a cruise? Everything! What other kind of vacation gives you your hotel, entertainment, and three squares a day with so much to do on board? Choose to socialize and mingle with your fellow cruisers, go to every show and event on the ship, or simply find a cozy spot and immerse yourself in that novel you never seem to have time for. What can be better than lying in a lounger on your cabin balcony late in the evening listening to the ocean waves, staring up at a star-filled sky, and feeling all your cares melt away in a tropical breeze as the world passes by. Combine this with the opportunity to experience a glimpse of many far-away places and cultures with your floating hotel waiting nearby, and you have yourself the ultimate escape!

Cruising is a wonderful way to get away from it all, enjoying new sights and meeting new friends. I aways feel so pampered when cruising and love to watch the view from one of the many, lovely lobbies on board.

My favorite aspect of a cruise is knowing my boyfriend can relax too. We enjoy meeting people, making new friends and creating memories. We spend time together and we spend time doing what we want to do individually. CRUISE = RELAX + HAVE FUN + ENJOY + NEW FRIENDS. This formula works for us every time!

What I love the most about crusing: not having to think or plan. No planning on where to go to dinner, or what can I afford at that moment. I love settling into a freshly turned down bed. Waking up to room service. It’s just the most care-free way I know, to spend a vacation. I don’t have to think about much of anything.

Love cruising with my wonderful husband. Having a balcony and listening to the ocean. Sitting on are balcony watching the sun come up and having room service. The best part is no cell phones and my husband pager is off. That is what is wonderful about cruising with the man I love!

I love the VALUE! Great way to see the places I wouldn’t see if not for Cruising! The sunsets are amazing, the water color is glorious. And the margaritas aren’t bad either ;)

Everything! Relaxing, fun, get to see new places, meet new people, lots of fun things to do everyday. Wish I was going again soon.

I love everything about cruising, the atmosphere, the food, my fellow cruisers, going to different destinations. I also like being waited on, not having to cook, being able to eat different foods, try new things, go to the spa, sit by the pool, not get up until I feel like it. Ordering room service and having breakfast in bed. Sitting on deck and watching the sunset over the ocean or the sun rise over the vast horizon. Finding a quiet dark place and contemplating the vastness of the universe. In other words there is nothing I don’t like about cruising except the end of the week and going back to reality.

The minute I see the ship that I am about to board for the cruise make me an absolute bundle of nerves. The fact that the giant ship look so attractive and so amazing make you want to get on and sail immediately that is the start. As you get on board all nerves settle and then the fun start, the excitement kick in when U see the cabin the beauty of the interior of the ship the friendly staff the food make for an absolutely thrilling experience. Cruising with royal caribbean to the islands was truly a God given holiday. TKS

I went on this fantastic trip with my daughter we sailed from Fort lauderdale to Grand Cayman islands, Ocho Rios in Jamaica for 7 days with the Enchantment of the seas Royal Caribbean in April 2007. It was a blast we had so much fun we met so many wonderful people from all over the world. The ship was amazing the island excursions was wonderful. I would cruise again if given the opportunity. I sleep better than anywhere else with the gentle rocking of the ship lulling me into a deep sleep after a long day of sightseeing, fun, sun, dining, shows and more fun than you can squeeze into a day.

I love being alone with my husband without the distraction of daily life. It seems as though we can really reconnect with who we were so long ago when we first found each other. We can experience new things together and not be separated by all the trivialities that life throws at you. I wish I could bottle it up and take it with me. We wish everyday that we had found cruising long ago and hope that each and every cruise we go on will be as magical for us as the first.
