Live From Norwegian Dawn: Saying Goodbye
October 7, 2011 | By Shayne Rodriguez Thompson | No Comments

We’re about to debark Norwegian Dawn, and despite the rainy days and the subsequent slew of cancelled activities, I’ve had a great time. I’ve truly discovered the lure of cruising – it’s affordable, there are opportunities for fun at every turn and it really is a great way to make new friends, as many Cruise Critic members do. I’ll miss the stunning ocean views, the wonderful people we’ve met onboard and of course, the nightly dance sessions. Last night, my husband and I packed our bags, but not before taking in not one, but two shows: “Bollywood,” a Cirque show, and a performance by the Second City comedy troupe (ok, it was the second time we checked that show out). And we had dinner at Le Bistro, NCL’s popular French-themed specialty restaurant. Honestly, we couldn’t think of a better way to say “Bon voyage” to our first cruise.
Shayne has been reporting back on her first cruise all week: Get her spin on Norwegian Dawn’s recent refurb, her first impressions of her debut cruise, an overview of the dining options and her take on a scary stormy night at sea.
