This is so sad especially since I had just read in Cruise International they are the best line to see the Norwejian Fjords. So so sad. To the families of all involved our prayers and thoughts are with you all.

Our sincerest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives on the Hurtigruten’s MS Nordlys, and best wishes for a very speedy recovery to those who were injured. To the Captain, management and Crew as well as passengers, our heartfelt best wishes go out to all of you to be feeling safe and well again. This proives how important those safety and evacuation drills (we all hate to do) can be in a real incidents. We heard that all passengers were safe along with many staff and crw, which is good news. But we must not forget those who were lost or injured and ensure we do better in future incidents to save all lives at sea. Please do not let this one terrible incident/accident affect your belief in Hurtigruten as a fine cruise line to deal with – I am sure they are investigating to ensure this does not ever happen again.
