Sit long enough in Allure of the Seas‘ shopping mall-styled Royal Promenade, and Gaga may appear. Or at least there’ll be a class on how to dance like the sartorially inclined lady. “1, 2, 3, 4, and shake it, and twist the light bulb,” chanted the Jamaican dance instructor, Bjorn, who inspired a sassy confidence in his 46 female and 6 male charges. The dancers picked up the moves with ease, and after a few times through, they were twisting light bulbs in unison to “Bad Romance.” Though a certain photo- and note-taking statue remained unmoved, infected onlookers were bobbing heads, smiling broadly or staring mesmerized at the dancers from seats at Sorrento’s pizzeria and the Cafe Promenade. Even the giant stuffed bears in the red Morgan roadster were getting carried away. The group swelled for “Poker Face” and again for “Alejandro.” The one song they didn’t do? “Paparazzi.” But then I had that covered.
