Video: 7-Night Disney Alaska Cruise in 488 Seconds?

May 18, 2011 | By | No Comments

We’ll be honest: Cruise Critic regulars don’t really dig Disney. Many say it’s the price, which can creep into the low end of luxury territory. Some avoid family cruising like Chip ‘n’ Dale avoid pants. A handful, we’re told, have an irrational fear of Mickey Mouse (“He never blinks,” they say). But if you were ever curious about what distinguishes a Disney cruise — the bevvy of princesses, the unique excursions, the adult-only havens — take a peek at how the line’s attacking its inaugural season in Alaska. With the help of a Disney film crew, Lissa Poirot, editor of Cruise Critic sister site Family Vacation Critic, created daily, easy-to-swallow video postcards from the seven-day voyage on Disney Wonder. Above are the first 102 seconds that make up Day 1.

If you like what you see, you can watch the other six videos — three highlighting port stops (Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan) and three focusing on sea days — in about six minutes. Watch TV here.
