after 39 years of marriage i don't think i really would have chosen not to have a double bed and when we asked if we enquired we were told that would cost us £1200 more.
my husband booked it with out thinking in fact because of the position of this cabin there was a lot of vibration, this did not worry us too much but others found it difficult. It was always clean, the loo and shower room were bigger than we expected. the soap dispensers were awkward and in fat the sink one never really worked. There was plenty rom for cases. the drawers are plenty but metal and noisy. the only real problem was the awful smell no one want to feel one is walking through a toilet to get to and fro your room. Terrible vibration and rattling and creaking in both cabins and we hardly slept. My brother in laws shower was more like a cupboard absolutely tiny. 5059 bathroom was a bit bigger but was supposed to have had a bath needless to say there was none. We were told that they were superior because of the proximity to amenities. We have been cruising a long time and always had nice cabins, always go midships and mostly on deck 5. Never ever had an experience like this before Read entire member review >>
Rather small for a cabin described as a "Superior Outside", with beds in an L-shaped configuration
Poor sound insulation between cabins - conversations & laughter clearly audible through bulkhead.
In-cabin TV still old style box-type, with poor picture.
Air-conditioning struggles in humid exterior climate. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was an outside three berth on main deck. There was plenty of space, and loads of storage. Our cabin was ideally located for us - being right by the stairs leading up to the pool above. It did suffer from some vibration and noise when the ship was manoeuvring into dock, but otherwise we had no noise problems. Read entire member review >>
