I would say this is one of the best cruises I've been on, if not THE best.
Some background. I traveled with my husband. We have been on about 37 cruises each and this was our first Azamara cruise. We have sailed on Norwegian, Carnival, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean and Holland America.
At first, I had concerns about going on a ship this size, having recent been on the gargantuan Allure of the ...
Thank you LoveandCruises for the 5-star review!
So glad you loved your first cruise with Azamara.
I especially love your last pp..."In summary, I have to say that it would be difficult for...
Azamara Journey 11-30-19
We booked the Azamara Journey 12 days before embarkation as our planned Galapagos adventure on the Celebrity Xpedition was canceled by the cruise line. This back to back cruise, the “9-Night Caribbean Highlights Voyage” followed by the “7-Night Caribbean Breezes Voyage” was available at a terrific price and with nice booking incentives. As we had always wanted to try ...
The Gulf has been on our bucket list for quite a while. We have frequently stopped over at DXB but never before been outside the airport.
It was certainly worth while!
Service aboard was typically Azamara, laid back, friendly and efficient, sort of feels like home without the work.
Dubai is spectacular, all the world's biggest, tallest, busiest things they say and didn't disappoint. Try ...
Thank you Oldtony77 for the review! I agree that if you sail regularly on AZ, as your review title suggests you do, the ships and staff feel like a second home...always welcoming, always...
We were first timers on Azamara but it won't be our last. We liked the size of the ship it never felt crowded, we never had to wait for, lifts, tables, sunloungers or seats in the cabaret lounge.
The staff from the Captain down to the room stewards were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble.
The food was some of the best we have had on a cruise ship.
Our cabin was great, the only ...

SUMMARY: It is very easy to recommend Azamara as their exceptionally attentive service will make any cruise a very pleasant experience. Their prices may be higher than RCCL, Celebrity, or Princess but the extra cost will be forgotten once you've enjoyed their exceptional service.
People may ask how Azamara compares to Oceania. While both are Premium “Smaller Ship” Cruise lines, our choice ...
We chose this cruise as the price was reduced significantly with lots of onboard credit due to the cancellation of Cuba itineraries. We were on this ship 9 years ago and amazingly had the same captain and cruise director -both of whom are wonderful. We are diehard Princess fans with around 100 total cruises, but we wanted to give Azamara a try. We enjoyed our earlier cruise and read so much ...
This our second time on Azamara and it definitely won't be our last. I have never been on a cruise where the staff and crew, from the Captain down to the young man cleaning the stairs, are so friendly. Having the Hotel Manager, the Cruise Director and assistant and others waving goodbye as we were disembarking was wonderful. It was as if we were valued friends who they couldn't bear to part ...
My wife and I have been cruising for several year - often 3 cruises per year - but had not yet tried an upscale cruise like Azamara. The first thing that we noticed, not surprisingly, was that the Pursuit was not quite as large as the other cruise ships we had taken previously. Next we noticed that the crew seemed to be more friendly than on other, larger ships.
We subsequently determined ...
This was our 9th cruise with Azamara, but our first ever transatlantic and our first cruise on the Pursuit. We chose it because we love sea days, but it also had 6 ports of call, so a good combination.
We had a couple of nights in Lisbon before the cruise and were really pleased that we had done so, there’s so much to see and do. We booked the Holiday Inn Express Avenida de Liberdade mainly ...
Thank you HGC for the lovely review. So sorry to hear DH had a chest cold. That's not fun!
But I am glad you got to visit Buzios...it's one of my favorite places in Brazil....
