Catch all the dispatches from Seatrade 2007!

In our "guess the next contender for biggest ship ever" contest -- launched in conjunction with our Seatrade report about how ships are consistently growing in size -- we were completely impressed with how many Cruise Critic readers are interested enough in industry affairs that they're actually reading the stories! Kudos. And most of you were in the right ballpark -- Royal Caribbean -- though only a handful nailed the class of ship.

Answer? Royal Caribbean's Genesis class; the first in this series will measure 220,000 tons and carry 5,400 passengers (that's double occupancy; on high season and kid holiday cruises expect more than 6,000 folks onboard; add another 3,000 for crew). The ship debuts in fall 2009.

Editor's Hint: We had a fabulous tip sheet that provided the answer to this question.

The winner? Richard Bonekemper was not the very first to respond, but was the first to answer correctly. Congratulations!

And stay tuned to this space for our next mini-contest.
