Cabin C097

This and surrounding cabins were unsuitable and not fit for purpose due to what some have said was down to "flexing" (constant banging). Cabins around C097 were all complaining and we hadn't left Southampton yet. It s believed that P&O knew about this problem and put guests into these cabins anyway in hope that they would not complain. They did offer ear muffs !! We did, left the cabin and moved into reception until a new cabin was found. We really had to put up a fight with the night manger who did nothing until we refused to remove from reception and go back to our cabin "There was nothing that he could do" he kept saying, "there are no other free cabins" oh but we could have a single cabin each.??? Totally not 5 star treatment or even 1. We stayed in another cabin the next day but not before being forced to sign a liability contract to say we would not claim no further from P&O and not a hint of apology until the next day which was false and too late. Avoid cabins in this location above and below.

Cabin C187

The cabin was extremely noisy. The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work and the light over the dressing table did not work.

Cabin C187

Comfortable in a quiet location next to a crew store room. Back of the ship, so some movement in rough seas. Poor use of space and lack of light means the wardrobe area is too dark and is awkward when you and your partner are trying to get ready to go out. Light in front of the dressing table was not bright enough for applying make up so my wife had to use the bathroom. Shower more spacious than I expected. Not enough drawers, but plenty of hanging space. Overall it was a comfortable cabin and we would be happy to have it again.
