This cruiseline did everything right. From the food to the excursions to the staff they could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They seemed to have thought through everything ahead of time and I would classify this less of a “trip” but an “experience”. Kudos to the chef, the captain and especially our ship host, Song.

Pros:
very clean and well maintained ship
Internet, when in port, works very well - no streaming
Good organization for departure
More things are included than on some cruises - most alcohol, for example, is included.
Variety of shore excursions was great and it is included in the price.
Food is very good. Well presented, healthy and small size portions meant less waste. ...

The reviews we read on-line from a wide variety of sources were helpful and the deciding factor in selecting AmaWaterways. Viking was described as having funky, leased boats, not their own brand. The remaining three members of my family met up with our older daughter who was already in Vietnam. Our cruise included extra nights on the front end in Hanoi and the back end in Saigon. Our first time on this cruise line and first time on this brand new ship. First time river-cruising, but 15th cruise overall. This was our 10th cruise, first on Amawaterways and last river cruise for sure. We boarded the bus from Siem Reap to the ship on a 7 hour bus ride. We made 2 stops along the way for restroom breaks and to stretch your legs.
