Comments in my review. We were close to the forward elevator bank of 12 elevators, which helped getting around. Plus this elevator bank gets less traffic because the main dining rooms, specialty restaurants and Boardwark is near the aft elevators. Read entire member review >>
When I arrived in the stateroom I was extremely disappointed it was not as described or pictured! There was no couch and there was a connecting door whereas the people next door were talking in normal tones and I could hear every word they said. I felt this romantic trip was destroyed because I knew if I could hear them they could hear me. I was deeply disappointed in royal Caribbean because they could do nothing short of down grading my room to resolve this issue. After I complained to guest services they said they would send security up 'to listen.' So I go back to the cabin wait for security next thing I hear the guest next door saying security said they had a noise report and for them to be quiet... I rushed out of my door and told security to come in my room and he wouldn't I told him to tell the neighbors that I didn't say that! He just went on downstairs.... Anyway they next apologized and offered us an excursion. Now to add insult to injury we are avid horseback riders... The lady for horseback riding made my husband get on her scale and then told him he couldn't ride ---- I'm sorry I didn't read the fine print and I felt my 6 foot 1 husband at 240 pounds was average weight she said her horses don't go over 230 pounds.... Frankly our day revolved around that fat shaming excursion and I think she needs to get horses for larger and taller people... I do appreciate the 25% offer our next cruise but that is only because I pressed the guest services management...
I do have one more issue you guys need to figure out which package virgin beer belongs in.... Some people wanted to charge and some said it was there discretion if they explain the 5% alcohol. I do appreciate guest services removing the one charge. Overall the entertainment was 100%. The friendliness of your crew made you feel you were in your home away from home... The cabin was spacious. Bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. A little bit of noise from being under the pool deck (chairs scraping etc.) but soundproofing seems to have been well done as it was not heard often and when it was it was very muffled. Our balcony was over sized, however the exterior balcony cabin light was terrible which made it very hard to relax with a good book at night and listen to the ocean. The sofa however was very uncomfortable in the cabin too hard and narrow. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was pretty standard - and about as narrow as a cabin could be made to walk around the end of the bed. Clearly 'innovation' means squeezing the width as tight as possible. the cabin was clean and our attendant outstanding! Read entire member review >>
Toward the stern but not too far from elevator and steps. Easy location to get to Boardwalk, Royal Prom and same deck as Central Park. Cabin was quiet. Had a young child next door but never heard through the bed-side wall. Good water pressure at sink. Read entire member review >>
The rooms are SMALL compared to other ships and the bathroom is TINY. I don't know how large people shower as I only weigh 165 and it was hard for me to get a shower. It was hard for my husband to maneuver around in the morning getting ready. The closet is adequate, not the largest we have seen. We actually bring our clothes on our own hangers so unpacking is easier but we had to move their hangers out of the closet. There is plenty of room for several suitcases under the bed. The balcony is ok, not large. If you have rooms next to each other, you can request the divider be removed so you share a balcony together. The quietness of the room is the absolute best we have EVER had on any trip, hotel or cruise. It is almost sound proof in your room. We didn't hear hardly ANYTHING the whole cruise. There is a hair dryer for ladies and a plug for men's razors. We were in cabin 12622 which was mid ship, perfect for us. This room is Starboard and we faced the land in every port. We did not let the room steward in all week so I don't know how well he would have done. I recommend you bring your toiletries in small travel sized bottles as the shower only has one shelf not really big. Read entire member review >>
Room was nice enough size and the fact that we could open our balcony with our friends next door was nice but, one morning around 4:30AM, they were power-washing the floors in the Solarium, one deck above, and scraping the deck chairs which were like fingernails on a blackboard. Very annoying. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was ok in size (outside balcony) - closet and storage areas very tight. This cabin was perfect for access for dining and public areas. Those with walking issues should choose aft - as the ship is very very long. Our attendant kept the room spotless. Read entire member review >>
We had a standard balcony room on deck 7 forward. Location was great as we didn’t have to walk a lot to get to needed places, inc tour mtg points which were normally forward. Oasis class balcony rooms are slightly smaller than those on other Royal ships so it was cozy for 2 but OK. Our cabin steward was great, very friendly and capable. Read entire member review >>
I was in Cabin 10616 on the Starboard side. This cabin was chosen very carefully as I wanted the bed by the balcony. I feel it makes the room feel a bit roomier when you walk in and when you have to get dressed. Some people prefer more room by the balcony and would probably prefer the other way around. The balcony was a bit smaller than the other ships (I felt anyway) but it was very enjoyable. I love the larger high table they have rather than the small ones on other ships. You could definitely put your breakfast and enjoy it. I sat out quite often and was so lucky to have quiet, considerate neighbors. I traveled solo so had more than enough storage but have to say that I think it would have been tight if I traveled with anyone else. I know there are hidden places that open for storage but I'm always afraid I'll leave something behind. The inroom safe was so small that I had to remove my Ipad cover in order to fit in my Ipad. Refrigerator worked well. Cabin attendant was good. Location was great, although maybe a little bit of a walk to the stairs (but helps walk off the immense amount of food I ate!) Cabin was in a very quiet area and have already booked the exact same one on a cruise next year. Read entire member review >>
balcony cabin cat d5 6584 starboard sidenice room. some obstruction from the life boats but that's true of almost the entire deck they stick out from almost every balcony but only if you are standing at the rail looking down, if you are sitting or lying in bed you don't see any obstruction at all. It really is no big deal. Noise: I will say there is absolutely 100% noise from bolleros below. You hear the bass in the room from 10pm to 1 am. don't let any one tell you that you don't, because you do. even if the television is on, you feel the vibrations. Not the end of the world, but not well thought out by rccl. I would go about 5 rooms further aft and I think you would be fine. Read entire member review >>
#7208 was a good cabin, a tad far from the elevators, but very quiet. We had THEE best cabin attendant ever, Blanca from Poland...A/C worked real good and so did the shower... Read entire member review >>
Stateroom 14622 is smack dab in the center of the ship just below the pool deck. There is a large overhang above the balcony that block any noise from above. The stateroom is a catagory D5. The room was excellent as was the bathroom. One negative is because of the length of the ship, each time you leave your stateroom for the forward and aft elevators you have an long walk many times a day. Other than that the stateroom was excellent. Read entire member review >>
This cabin location was great. It was right in the middle on deck 8. So it did't matter what end of the ship I was on. I was always in the middle. It was just me in the cabin. I would say up to 2 people is it to be comfy. I do wish the balcony had a lounge chair. It was also very very quite. My bed was by the balcony. I was also very quite-I never herd a thing. Closet was very small, surprisingly small. Did like that there a lot of hangers though, that helped a little. The bed was the most impressive part, very comfy and big, definitely a major plus in my book. Read entire member review >>
We had connecting cabins with outside balconies. Storage was very good. I was surprised that the third bed in one of our cabins was a pull-out sofa, which was not very comfortable, according to my daughter. Also, the only bathroom amenities provided were shampoo and soap -- no conditioner, body lotion, or shower gel. We were provided with conditioner upon request, but had to repeat our request during the weak. Read entire member review >>
Layout was great - bed near the balcony - not near the door.
Good size closet with plenty of hangers.
Centrally located on the ship- close to elevators, dining room, promenade, boardwalk, photo shop Read entire member review >>
11222- issue with closet and getting into it; great balcony and loved the sliding doors that close tightly, love the real shower door and foot rest was great. Very comfortable bed and nice lighting. Read entire member review >>
Quiet location....was surprised that we did not hear noise in hall at any time. Closet was difficult to access as we had to climb between bed and closet. Would have enjoyed a few more drawers to put clothes. My husband seemed to use sofa to hold some things. I did like mirror near outside sliding door for natural light. I felt lighting in cabin and bath were very good. Also liked having outside cabin. With such a large ship you forgot you were on the water so good to be able to look out our cabin to see the ocean. August 26th and 27th we had character breakfasts booked, one day shrek and the other day madagasca . I loved the chocolate pastries given before breakfast and we were suprised to get our same waiter for breakfast that we got for diner. The breakfasts were warm and delicious unlike the breakfasts in the dining rooms and buffets.
Our cabin was in a far out location...too far from the food and everywhere but it was a very quiet place...we were in 9582 9th floor , oceanview balcony. Read entire member review >>
The short bar in the closet needs to be removed. A woman's large t-shirt drags on the floor in the closet. Night light in the bathroom was wonderful. Balcony for this room is great, direct view of water below and not a lifeboat. Next to hump balcony cabins, but this does not make this balcony bigger.
This cabin is located next to suites and handicap rooms on deck 6. Excellent central location. I would take this cabin again. Read entire member review >>
Had a superior balcony - of average size for modern large cruise ships. They could have applied the benefits gained by the development of Solstice class cabin layouts on their partner cruise line, Celebrity, to provide that essential extra foot in width. Read entire member review >>
