Cabin 11604

Small bathroom, but they all are unless you have a suite I believe. LOVED! our cabin steward Rene. He was awesome! We tipped him more because he just made my granddaughter laugh so much with the towel animals at night! He also unlocked our adjoining door and the door between our balcony. He even was able to get me my lounger for the balcony. My son his wife and the two kids ages 7 and 12 were very cramped, as their cabin was the same size as ours. But both cabins were always clean, clean towels and beds made twice a day. Thanks to Rene for all he did!

Excellent!! By: nickvarde
Well, that was a disappointment but it was my fault. I found the cabin small. I wanted my kids to stay with me. I had the option at that time to book a Jr Suite but chose this instead. If it's for 2 its a good size. Make sure the room you pick is well thought about. I did enjoy my time in the room so would have liked a bigger cabin

The cabin was average for a cruise ship, I was hoping for more given the Allure is one of their bigger and newer ships. The cabin attendant needed to spend a little more time on the finishing touches. We always looked forward to the towel animals they came up with each day, but only got three for a seven day cruise. Also a souvenir glass we purchased with a cocktail went un-touched for two full days until we cleaned it out. On the Disney cruise the attendant cleaned and wrapped it for the travel home.

Cabin was nice. Comfortable with a couch to sit on as well as the bed. We did have a nice little balcony near the front starboard side of the ship. It was close to central park area and was not loud at all. I would chose this cabin location again in the future.

Pack light. Not much storage. Our layout was backwards. The couch was in front of the patio door so when the sofabed was made at night you could barely get out. Take an over the door shoe organizer for your toiletries. Take your own hairdryer because you have to hold the button and it's HOT only! We had 4 in there and we did ok. Don't take an iron or surge protector because they will take it! Very clean. Not worn. Would stay in this cabin again.

The cabin is quite tight especially for a family of four. We had a drop down bunk which helped. The queen bed was comfortable but the double pull out couch was fairly firm according to my daughter. The bathroom is self-contained with shower, toilet, and sink but there are large gaps on the top and bottom of the door so there is not enough privacy and odors escape to the main cabin readily. There is only one plug with three outlets on the main desk and another hidden under the bed. If you have a sleep machine, you will need an extension cord for sure. Ladies, expect to dry your hair in the ' living room' or if you have kids, in their sleeping area. The balcony was great because it gave us more space and let us get some fresh air. The lighting is quite nice in the room and in the bathroom. We also brought a night light for the kids. The rooms are really well soundproofed and for the most part, we weren't disturbed by any noise.

It was nice, but a bit tight...I feel that the lay out was backwards...the couch should have been as your fist walked in and the bed closer to the balcony. Good size bathroom and lots of closets/ storage space,

Second Time on the Allure By: Jamie CFVP
Cabin feels slightly more spacious compared to other family balcony rooms on the ship due to the way the sofa and bed are arranged. However, there is not much privacy when the door is open because the door is adjacent to the climbing wall. This particular cabin has an extra long balcony. Unfortunately, the balcony has a drainage issue. So when they washed the balcony on one of the shore days, it did not dry off even though it was a hot day as there was no drain for the water to go. This was made worse by water dripping down from the balcony from the deck above. Otherwise, this cabin was great. Noise was not an issue once the balcony door was shut.

The cabin was always maintained and clean, and given we had 2 children, 3 & 1, with us, this is a big compliment to our stateroom attendant. Size wise, it was bigger than the ocean view room we had on our last trip, and definitely bigger than the interior rooms I have had in the past. We had a balcony, which was a nice occasional escape from the napping kids, or early bed times, and it was great to wake up to. The sofa pulled out into a bed, where I slept with one of the kids, while my wife had the bed with our youngest. While the sofa bed is convenient for additional sleeping, it's not the softest experience, and left me with some back pain on several nights. It also takes up quite a bit of room, which required clever placement of items, and relocating the small coffee table in the room to the balcony. The bed was very comfortable and roomy, and I was jealous after being in it. We managed to have plenty of storage for a week+ worth of clothes for both children, diapers and wipes included, and also for my wife and I. Suitcases fit under the bed nicely, and the closet had a bunch of hangers and an additional pull down rack that helped with smaller hanging items. My only complaints with the room were the sofa bed comfort level, and the amount of space available with the bed pulled out. We opted not to use a baby crib/pack and play that they bring you because there was just no room to maneuver with the sofa bad and the crib bed out.

The cabin is the same typical small cabin as on all ships. The sofa was a pullout for our daughter but it was extremely uncomfortable. The room steward did add down comforters to make it more comfortable but it did not help much. The bed itself had a egg crate soft top and it was the most comfortable bed we have slept on on any ship or cruise line.

Room was clean and by adding the balcony, felt roomy for a ship cabin. A/C wasn't cooling enough and the room staff didn't seem to care since nothing was ever done about it.

First time we stayed in a small cabin. Did not enjoy the size of the room for relaxation. Cabin person was excellent. Had a few issues with toilet that took a couple of hours to get fixed in the morning after calling maintenance 3 times. Shower was good with good pressure.

Amazing experience! By: court crick
The cabin was small and lacked storage enough for 3 people. I have been on many cruises and know the rooms are small in the balcony rooms. The room could have been cleaner upon arrival. The bathroom in particular needed to be cleaned better. Luckily I had wipes with me, and I wiped down the counter space and shelves in bathroom. I picked up what appeared to be the remnants of makeup powders from past families. Icky! The stateroom attendant was friendly and did a good job overall.

Great cruise for all By: sheppyhill
Great cabin, although it is at the very back of the ship, but this is a large ship so you are not going to feel it move that much. We seemed to always be on the outside of the port, so you are looking out at ports instead of looking at the dock. We were in cabin 7100, do not reserve this cabin, it is better to get an inside cabin then this cabin.

Stayed in this handicap accessible room on deck 12. Lots of room, but the 4th bed was not good at all. It was made from a a chair in the room instead of a couch and was not comfortable at all. Disappointing since we needed sleeping room for 4. The fridge was pre-stocked with FOR-FEE food and beverages which was annoying. We has purchased bottled water and there was no room to keep it cold.

Great Experience By: jc70
Family Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony was great for us, one adult, two teenage girls. Certainly room for two parents and two kids. Might have been tight with more than that, but the extra space afforded by the balcony is wonderful. Bathroom tight, but more than adequate. Minor complaint: sliding doors on closet will slide with movement of the ship if not completely secured.

Cabin 11166
Aug 2011
Our Family Ocean View with Balcony, 11166, was pretty well designed and managed six people fairly well. It is really in a perfect location for families. It's just a few feet from the lobby, two decks from Adventure Ocean, and three decks from Central Park for easy cross-ship transit. With small kids, you appreciate location a whole lot more. As for the room itself, my wife and I were shocked at how large it is. I figured on posting photos of it since there is a glut of information on it here on CC, so check out my posting if you want to see the room. In brief, the room actually felt quite spacious. A sofa is next to the balcony and the queen-size bed is in the interior, near the lavatory. Funny enough, when the steward makes up the sofa bed, the head of the bed was next to the balcony door. It's tight to get around to the balcony when the sofa bed is made up, but our steward informed us that she'd deconstruct the bed in the morning. This was a little detail that I really didn't expect and one that made the room really perfect during the day, especially for moving around and letting the kids play on the floor. There is a curtain that separates the two beds, so you can get a little privacy. The bunk beds are basically in a closet space next to the front door. This isn't ideal when you have kids since you'll probably want to go in and out of the cabin while they sleep. Even worse is that it's right across from the lav. We invested in a cheap white noise generator long ago and it works magic for drowning out noise, so we used that and it was great. One word of warning, though, is that there is absolutely no power anywhere near the beds, so make sure that anything you need there takes batteries. The room has a good amount of storage space, including two main closets near the primary bed, a small closet next to the bunk beds, desk drawers, a magazine rack, and some cupboards next to the desk that we used as a pantry to keep snacks for the kids. Our luggage, including three good size duffel bags and one large wheeled suitcase, fit fine underneath the bed. While we only had one lavatory, we managed just fine with it. It can take a little extra time to get everyone moving, but kids add time anyway, so we didn't find that to be a big deal.
