We wanted something different and sailing on The Koningsdam certainly filled the bill. From joining the ship in Vancouver, to disembarking there the following week, we had the most relaxing but fun filled time My stateroom on the sundeck was exceptional, as was the service from Ho Ho and Jo Jo,my stewards and Ana in laundry I ate breakfast mainly in The Lido or at the poolside bar , ...

7 Day Alaska Cruise with 2 younger kids

This is the second time we've cruised with Holland America (The first being in 2014 on the Niew Amsterdam) as a large family group. We had 22 family members on board this time around and 6 kids ranging from 3 to 11. We really enjoyed our cruise and thought the crew went above and beyond for us as a family. They always acknowledged our kids and did little things to make their experience extra ...

Glad we found a deal...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

The ship was very nice, and the crew was outstanding. The food was far below what we have enjoyed on other Celebrity ships; the main dining room (MDR) menus were lacking in variety and creativity; we blame the corporate office for putting out such a poor, poor menu - it was definitely not up to prior Celebrity cruises. Some of the MDR food lacked quality, too. We thought the buffet was ...

My wife DIED onboard the Spirit! They way I have been treated has been HORRENDOUS!!!!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

My wife contracted Covid aboard the Norwegian Spirit during cruise of Alaska and Hawaii. She died aboard the Norwegian Spirit on Friday, September 8, 2023. She died in the ship's infirmary one day after being admitted for breathing difficulty. The treatment I received from the crew and the cruise line has been absolutely deplorable. It is evil. It was mind-boggling and made the worst experience of ...

Very Nice Ten Day Cruise to COOL Southeast Alaska

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Regatta

User Avatar

My wife and I were tired of the hot and humid summer days here in Virginia so we booked a ten day cruise out of Seattle to Southeast Alaska. We were not disappointed. Everyday was in the sixties and the days were mostly over cast and not all that much rainy. We booked a Regatta penthouse suite room one of the very last available six months in advance. The room was adequate and the bath was ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Koningsdam

This cruise was wonderful in every aspect. The food and service were exceptional in the Lido market, the scenery was magnificent, seeing whales and sea otters magical, and there were places to find early in the morning to be alone and take photos of the sunrise. We went on the Tracy Arm inlet excursion and it was breathtaking. We also took the train out of Skagway which I highly recommend. The ...

My criticisms are mostly to do with all of the hassles prior to the cruise, plus of course the unilateral policy changes after I had already bought my ticket.

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Grand Princess

I chose this cruise due to what seemed like a great price without the 100% single supplement that Princess usually charges. My cruise was 14 nights in duration, not 7 nights, so leaving Vancouver and returning home at the end. My criticisms are mostly to do with all of the hassles prior to the cruise, plus of course the unilateral policy changes after I had already bought my ticket. It seems as ...

Total incompetence

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Crown Princess

The first 4 cruises with Princess were great. Then we did a Norwegian cruise in the Mediterranean and came back to Princess on an Alaskan cruise. If something could go wrong, it did. To start, there were no warnings that covid was present on board, so we did not take the proper precautions and we both caught covid halfway thru the 11 day cruise. We brought two covid tests with us...just in ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Sun

First Time Cruiser • Age 40s

This was our first cruise and we had a fantastic time on this smaller ship. The ship was easy to navigate in my husbands manual wheelchair, with issues only happening a handful of times. I would suggest reservations for non-buffet restaurants for wheelchair users due to the limited space between the tables and chairs in most dining rooms. The downside to the dining rooms will be that you will ...

Nice sunny Alaska

My wife and I had done Alaska about 15 years before and loved it so we decided to return. We flew in the night before and stayed at the Blue Horizon on Robison St. It was one of the more reasonable places to stay and there are lots of restaurants nearby and a nice walk to Stanley Park or lots of shops. We took an Uber to the ship and the embarkation took some time but the line never stopped ...
