Our TA warned us that we would be "ruined" after sailing on Seabourn...he was so right! From the embarkation to debarkation we were treated like Royalty. Each moment was a new experience. The Staff met our every need. Entertainment was over the top! Kudos to Robert amazing Cruise Director, and talented Singer! Food was fabulous! Service great! We did a Zodiak to the Misty ...

Grand Princess, Web site and pre planning an absolute nightmare

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Grand Princess

Spent far too much time and energy planning this cruise and cruise tour. The web site and app. is not user friendly and response time is hit and miss likely causing us to book our next cruise with another company. Otherwise I would have rated this cruise a solid 4, maybe even 5. However, The logisistics and on board and on land service was excellent at all levels. This was our 2nd Alaska ...

Wonderful Trip

I had traveled to Alaska with Holland America 10 years before. This time it was my wife, sister-in-law and myself. Fall can be tricky with weather going to Alaska, but we only had rain the first day in Juneau. By the next day the weather was mostly sunny, and our trip on the Yukon Pacific Railway shore excursion was the highlight of our trip. This is a MUST do if you take this trip. We hit ...

Sadly Dissatisfied

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

We have travelled with Celebrity several times and always found it to outstanding. Unfortunately we did a back to back sailing from Vancouver to Alaska and then back to Vancouver. The second leg of our trip was most disappointing. There were changes of crew in Alaska, who weren't as polite or friendly as those on the northbound trip. On both north and southbound trips the food in the ...

The staff and the food save the cruise

We got quite a bumpy start,,, our first stop in Alaska before heading to Japan was cancelled. I was really looking foward to see the inside passage and Ketchikan. That stop has been replaced by a stop at Victoria, beautifull city. We did an unplaned 12 hrs pit stop for fuel??? at Dutch Harbor in the Aleutians with interdiction to go ashore, grrr. But we been blessed by the sight of many dozens of ...

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Crown Princess

Having been away from Alaska since 2018, we were excited to travel north aboard CROWN princess for an 11-night adventure. We last sailed on CROWN to the Caribbean in 2018. We recall that cruise event as having the best food/service in all the Princess fleet we had ever experienced. Not to be the situation this time. EMBARKATION: Went well. Well organized at Canada Place, Vancouver. The ...

Trans-Pacific and Best of Japan B2B - Part One

This was our third attempt to do this with Celebrity...COVIDS caused the cruise to be canceled year after year. We lifted and shifted our reservations, with Celebrity being quite amenable after a bit of balking. Japan is one of the places DW and I had never visited before, and the idea of sailing across the North Pacific was intriguing. The ship gets *****. Our first trip on Millie, ...

Radiance of the Seas - First time on this older boat, and it shows

My first time on a cruise. Booked in April, 2023. Two weeks before we are about to start our one-week land tour, RC had to cancel the 9-1 sail due to "propulsion issues". Then one week before we start our land tour, RC cancelled the 9-8 sail due to the same "propulsion issue". We fly out on 9-9 for the land tour, not knowing AT ALL if there is a 9-15 sail. I think we were notified on 9-13 or 9-14 ...

Great Alaska Cruise

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Crown Princess

We thoroughly enjoyed our Alaskan cruise on the Crown Princess. The Crown has a promenade deck which allows you to walk around the whole ship. The Crown Princess is an older ship but well maintained and clean. Our stateroom was a Vista Suite aft on the Dolphin deck. The food was amazing. We ate every night in the Reserve Collection dining Room. I highly recommend it - never having to wait ...

Alaska was fantastic, but Crown Princess was a disappointment

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Crown Princess

We are loyal Princess Cruise passengers, and this was our tenth cruise with Princess, first trip on the Crown Princess. While Alaska was absolutely amazing, we were really disappointed with the experience on the ship. The food was probably our number one issue, with very few choices on the boat and a very lackluster buffet. The variety wasn't there, and they often put out stale and old items. One ...
