Position:Software Engineer - Travel Web Sites

We are a growing, dynamic and fun company, seeking a highly motivated and experienced PHP/LAMP developer to join our software development team.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, passionate about new web technologies, and will enjoy working closely with our product development, content and marketing teams to development new features for our Web sites. This position requires being able to communicate well with both technical and non-technical staff, be committed to delivering quality work on an aggressive schedule, and must be able to function independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Required Skills

  • 5-7 years server side web development in LAMP, PHP 4.x OR 5.x multi-tiered environment
  • Ability to write code quickly and accurately
  • Object-oriented development and design patterns, rapid build and release cycles are a must
  • Must document code faithfully and take good coding practices seriously
  • Experience with version control software such as SVN or CVS
  • MySQL and RDBMS proficiency; Microsoft SQL a plus
  • JavaScript / DHTML programming experience
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills and design pattern knowledge

Position:Inside Sales Rep - Cruise Critic

We are looking for a smart and energetic inside sales representative to help grow the company's rapidly expanding CPM/display advertising business. The successful candidate must be aggressive, creative, resourceful and must enjoy working in a highly entrepreneurial environment. The position requires sales, communication and organization skills, as well as a gift for developing professional relationships. S/he will be responsible for hitting monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets. The successful candidate will be working in our Pennington, NJ office.

Hiring requirements:

  • 2+ years experience of sales experience (digital advertising sales a plus)
  • 1+ years of experience in the online media industry
  • Experience working successfully and energetically on the phone, via email and in groups
  • Motivated by working independently; self-starter
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent online, written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Experienced business judgment: Must be positive, persistent and professional

Position:Social Media Communication Specialist

We're looking for an experienced social media specialist to manage the social media channels for our three travel websites, Cruise Critic, Family Vacation Critic and IndependentTraveler.com.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of social media, experience creating strategic social media programs, and the ability to track effectiveness in order to refine and develop social initiatives. This role requires an adept communicator and marketer, capable of using each channel appropriately and to its full potential, while maintaining brand consistency for each site.

Responsibilities:

  • Propose, develop and implement strategies for social media channels
  • Manage day-to-day social media activity, monitor and analyze
  • Coordinate with other departments on strategy development and program implementation
  • Partner with marketing team on partnerships and promotions to include a social component
  • Identify new opportunities, propose themes and promotions, develop and source content, coordinates scheduling across groups.
  • Keep abreast of new developments for Facebook, and other social channels, to refine strategy or propose new initiatives

Hiring Requirements:

  • Minimum of five to seven years of experience developing and executing marketing or public relations programs, including at least two years focused on social media strategies and campaigns.
  • Proven experience of managing social media platforms for consumer brands
  • Experience in planning and strategizing integrated communications programs across multiple media channels
  • Sound understanding of the principals of marketing
  • Ability to plan and execute effective social media strategies
  • Knowledge of social media tactics and guidelines
  • Excellent understanding of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and other key platforms

Position:Sales Planner

We are growing, dynamic and fun company, seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Planner to join the Sales team.

We are looking for a smart and experienced sales planner to support sales team with all tasks related to the successful implementation of online advertising campaigns, including responding to RFPs, writing proposals and presentations, and creating and managing insertion orders.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Work with sales team to support agency and client contacts; and service those relationships
  • Support sales and ad ops team with the receipt and tracking of all display insertion orders, from order input to creative retrieval to post analysis
  • Proactively work with current campaigns for optimizations; including reallocating impressions and communicating with clients to ensure campaigns deliver in full monthly
  • Pull and manage delivery reports for clients on request
  • As needed work with Accounts Receivable and clients to ensure all accounts maintain a current status
  • Prospecting, researching and engaging in other support tasks as needed

Hiring Requirements:

  • 3+ years of account management experience
  • 3+ years of experience with DART, Atlas, Open AdStream or other ad server as well as Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent online, written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • College degree required
  • Successful candidate must enjoy problem solving and be unafraid of technical solutions.
